WHEREAS, the Grant County Sherif�'s Office Fund #001, Department #114 does not
have an adequate level of budget appropriation to malce the following necessary expenditures:
Purchase 2 flashCAM-880 Digital Vandalism Deterrent System cameras and associated
equipment using a Gang Graffiti and Tagging Abatement Grant fromt eh Washington
Association of Sheriff's and Police Chiefs (WASPC) in the amount of $16,236.00
To cover the cost of wages, benefits and startup costs to fund a full time employee for the
Registered Sex Offender address and residence verification program grant from the
Washington Association of Sheriff s and Police Chiefs (WASPC) in the amount of
$37,940.00
WHEREAS, these additional budget expenditures were not anticipated when preparing
the 2008 budget; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 36.40.140 a public hearing, must be held to
authorize additional budget appropriations.
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of September, 2008 at 10:00 am, a public hearing was held
in the Grant County Commissioners' Hearing Room.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that a
budget appropriation in the total amount of $54,176.00 to be allocated to the 2008 budget
according to the following schedule of categories and items:
