J STRICKI.ER, ASC UPDATE AND MISC. BOCC ACTION The Commissioners approved and signed items i through 4 as listed above. COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION The Commissioners denied item i as listed above. The Commissioners asked that they add this amount to their 2009 budget. The Commissioners approved and signed items 2 and 3 as listed above. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amount of $i,344�746.9i, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the Kenneth and Daina Toevs (T&T Farms Long Plat) Final Plat Submission and Review, File #08-5028-02. The Commissioners lifted the County Wide Burn Ban due to cooler temperatures and moisture acconnpanying early fall weather. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until September 2g, 2008. CLOSED RECORD PUBLIC HEARING, LAKESHORES WEST MINOR ZONE CHANGE The Commissioners held a Closed Record Public Hearing regarding a Minor Zone Change of one 43•65 acre parcel from Urban Residential g to Urban Residential2, in order to make zoning consistent with the Comprehensive Plan Land-Use Designation. The subject parcel is lenown as Lot i9 of Lakeshores West Major Plat. It is located southeast of the intersection of Valley Road NE and Road 2.4 NE and southwest of the intersection of Road 2.4 NE and Road H.4 NE, and in the SW quarter of Section 21, Township i9 North, Range 28 East, WM, Grant County, Washington. (Parcel #i2-o294-218). This proposal was reviewed by the Grant County Planning Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. The Grant County Planning Commission has forwarded this proposal to the Board of County Commissioners with a recommendation to approve the Minor Zone Change from Urban Residential3 to Urban Residential2 with ten (10) Findings of Fact consistent with approval. Commissioner Allison moved to uphold the Planning Commission recommendation and approve the application as presented, recognizing the io Findings of Fact. Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. The hearing adjourned. (Ordinance No. o8-o8i-CC) CLOSED RECORD PUBLIC HEARING, LAKESHORES WEST PRELIMII�TARY PLAT The Commissioners held a Closed Record Public Hearing regarding a Preliminary Plat of one 48.65 acre parcel to create (10) lots in �he Urban Residential z zoning district of Grant County. Proposed Lots 1 through g will be approximately 3/4 acre to i acre in size, and used for residential development. Lot 10 will be 36.03 acres in size and will be used for residential development at a later time. The subject parcel is lcnows as Lot 19 of Laleeshores West Major Plat. It is located southeast of the intersection of Valley Road NE and Road 2.4 NE and southwest of the intersection of Road 2.4 NE and Road H.4 NE, and in the SW quarte4r of Section 2i, Township i9 North, Range 28 East, WM, Grant County. This proposal was reviewed by the Grant County Planning Commission at its regularly scheduled rneeting on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. The Grant County Planning Commission has forwarded this proposal to the Board of County Commissioners with a recommendation to approve the Prelirninary Plat with seven (�) Conditions of Approval and ten (10) Findings of Fact consistent with approval, but adding a modification to strilce item "f' from Condition of Approval #3. Commissioner Allison moved to uphold the Planning Commission recommendation and approve the application as presented, recognizing the � Conditions of Approval and io Findings of Fact. Resolution No. 08-o8o-CC to establish a new fund # 137, Department #i88 for the Grant County Centennial Celebration. Proclamation declaring October, 2008 Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Personnel Action Request Recommendation for District Court to hire two new Washington Traffic Safety Commission grant funded positions (1-3 years) in their Probation Department. The positions are a Case Manager and an Office Assistant.
