RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER
OF WILLOW LAKE FIRE ON
JULY 13, 2008

WHEREAS, the Department of Grant County Emergency Management has reported to
the Grant County Board of County Commissioners on July 13, 2008, that the impacts of a
wildfire, which began on July 13, 2008, within a portion of Grant County terrain, which will
threaten residents in the area SE of Ephrata. The fire impacted approximately 1,400 acres of
rural Grant County.
WHEREAS, local resources from Grant County Fire Districts 5, 7, 13, under Mission
number 08-2160 was assigned by the State Duty Officer at 11:45 on July 13, 2008.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners Chairman, Richard Stevens at the
request of the Emergency Management Coordinator to authorize activation of Grant County's
Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Emergency Support Function 4;
NOW, THEREFOld�, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT:
(1) It is hereby declared that there is an emergency due to the impacts suffered from the
wildfire of July 13, 2008, throughout a portion of Grant County, and
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of July, 2008.
