EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT UPDATE The Comrnissioners approved and signed an out of state travel request for Sandi Duffey to assist with a national evaluation of the Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant Program. FEMA agrees to pay participants travel and pre-diem while the local department donates their personnel's time. This evaluation date is March 2- 14, 2008. The location of the evaluation will be either in Emmetsburg, PA or Anniston, AL. D POHLE, PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE The Commissioners signed the following Authorization to Call for Bids and set the bid openings for February 5, 2008: Equip. Contract 2008-05 Equip. Contract 2008-06 The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public Worlcs Director to award the Bridge #228, Rd. 4— SE contract to Hurst Construction LLC from East Wenatchee for the amount of $154�748.00. (CRP o4-i5) The Commissioners approved Local Agency Agreement Supplements as follows: Bridge #228, Rd. 4-SE (CRP o�-15), Ko8-oo� Sunland Rd. Guardrail Upgrade, Ko8-oo8 H-SE Rd. Guardrail Upgrade, Ko8-oo9 � NE Guardrail Upgrade, Izo8-oio The Commissioners signed a contract between Grant County and DeAtley Crushing Company for the 2008 Crushing and Stocicpiling project. The Commissioners signed Resolution No. 08-oo4-CC Initiating various CRP Numbers. CONSENT AGENDA: Commissioner Allison moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance, as presented below: Page 3 of 5 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES COMMISSIONERS' OFFIC�: Commissioners Office Vouchers Request for signature on the WA State Department of Comrnunity Trade and Economic Development (CTED) CDBG Contract Face Sheet (08-64008-002) and Signature Authorization Form between Grant County, State of Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED), and the North Columbia Community Action Council in the amount of $i7o,844.00. Special Occasion License Application for the Grant County Economic Development Council, 6594 Patton Slvd NE, Moses Lalce, WA 98837, from the Washington State Liquor Control Board. 2008-2009 Professional Services Agreement for Public Information and Communications Consultant for the Columbia Basin Ground Water Management Area Project. This is to assist in the implementation of the education and information plan for GWMA, encourage media interest through news conferences, news releases, press advisories, public service announcements, editorials and feature articles, the consultant will attend GWMA meetings as requested. 2008 Professional Services Agreement, Public Information and Comrnunications Consultant between Grant County and S.C. Communications (Scott Cave). This will provide communication services as directed by the County. Includes, but not limited to drafting, editing, and producing news releases, media alerts, feature articles, targeted mailings, tallcing points, and other documents as directed by the County, provide editorial services for County publications as directed by County and provide strategic communication services as directed by County. Includes researching and reviewing information and participating in discussion with staff, Commissioners and others as directed. G.RANT MENTAL HEALTHC'ARE Request for out of state travel for the following employees: • Suzi Fode and Trisha Glenn to attend the WA State Coalition Against Domestic Violence training in Vancouver, WA February 10-i2, 2008 • Susan Berg and Teresa Hutsell to attend a Psychiatric Nursing Conference in Las Vegas, NV April �-i1, 2008 • Sherri Taylor and Jim Johnson to attend a Society for Human Resource Management Conference in Chicago, IL June 2i-26, 2008 • Bill Fode to attend a National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare Conference in Boston, MAApril3o-May 4, 2008 Request for signature of a first revision of the Residential Contract between Grant County Developmental Disabilities and the WA State Department of Social and Health Services / Department of Developmental Disabilities to reflect increased funding for residential support services provided by the Directions in Community Living program. As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.ogo, in the amount of $1,�89,o46.g6 and $794�779•86, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
