Commissioner Stevens was out and excused. COMMISSTONERS WORK SESSION The Commissioners approved the Capital Purchase Request from the Sheriff's Office in the amount of $a6,968.0o using Homeland Security Grant funds to purchase Mobile Command/Communications equipment through Emergency Management. Fork Lift (Dist 2) — no bids were received and the Director recommended a rebid. BID OPENING. 2008 FUEL BID The Commissioners held a bid opening for fuel purchases for 2008. Bids were received from CHS, Moses Lalce; CHS, Quincy; Inland Oil and Propane; and Coleman Oil. A motion was made by Commissioner AlYison, seconded by Cornmissioner Carter, to turn over the bids to Public Works for review and recommendation. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. The Commissioners signed the Professional Services Contract between Grant County and Taylor Consulting Group (TCG) to assist the County with the grant awarded by the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development for the purposes of streamlining the existing Unified Development Code, updating the standards and regulations within the UDC to align more closely with the unique needs of Grant County, and to work with the City of Ephrata to establish joint development regulations for the Urban Growth Area associated with the City. The Commissioners signed the Professional Services Agreement for the Supervising Public Defender in the courts of Grant County, between Grant County and Alan White. The Commissioners appointed Cindy Taylor to the Health Insurance Committee (District Court Representative). The Commissioners appointed Bob Adler to the Hanford Advisory Board in an alternate position. The Commissioners appointed Richard Leitz to the Hanford Advisory Board. The Commissioners approved a Request for out of state travel for Karen Lewis to attend the Tulare Farm Show in Visalia, California on February 13-1g, 2008. The Commissioners approved a Request for out of state travel for Karen Lewis to participate in fruit research meetings in Pennsylavia on March 2— 6, 2008, This travel will be covered through the Tree Fruit Research Commission. The Vice Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the Donald Rechnagel (Recknagel Short Plat) Final Plat Submission and Review, File #0�-4739-oi; and the Harry Morley (Morley Short Plat) Final Plat Submission and Review, File #06-46691-oi; Meek Family (Meek Family Short Plat) Final Plat Submission and Review, File #0�-4953-oi; and Dwight Peterson (Dwight Peterson Short Plat) Final Plat Submission and Review, File #0�-4824-oi; and Berend Friehe (Berend Friehe Short Plat) Final Plat Submission and Review, rile #0�-2738-01. The Commissioners received and approved for distribution a request to initiate the Sicic Leave Donation Policy for an employee of the Sheriff's Office (Recipient No. o8-oi). The Commissioners signed the Public Worles Claims Fund Voucher Approval No. 02�1 through No. oz-i32 in the total amount of $925,080.86, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
