PUBLIC DEFENSE EXECUTIVE SESSION CONFERENCE CALL REGARDING THE BEST LITIGATION AND PUBLIC DEFENSE Pursuant to RCW 42.3o.xxo (i) (i) Commissioner Stevens opened the executive session at 10:0o am to go until io:5o am. Session was closed at io:5o am. CONSENT AGENDA Commissioner Allison moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed with all Commissioners in attendance, as presented below: COMMISSIONERS' OFFICE: Commissioners Office Vouchers The Commissioners acicnowledged the dismissal of the Lisa Ladanyi-Grate Boundary Line Adjustment Administrative Appeal and dismissed it with prejudice. CO1ViMISSIONERS' MINUTES Page 2 of 4 Request from the Port of Ephrata for an award extension of the Strategic Infrastructure Program #200�-02, North Lalce Crossing Feasibility Study, Port of Ephrata, to October g1, 2008. g- Special Occasion License applications for the Columbia Basin Rodeo Association, 3953 �r'�'aY Dr. NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837, from the Washington State Liquor Control Board. These are for Beer Garden #1, Beer Garden #2, and Wine Social VIP Area. TRE�LSUIZER'S OFFICE Investment Services Agreement between Grant County and the City of Royal City so that the City can invest part of their investment portfolio with the County Pool. Request to transfer first and second quarter Trial Court Improvernent matching funds in the amount of $25,489•0o from the Law and Justice Fund i2l.000.000.597.20.0o to the Trial Court Improvement Fund i2�.000.000.897.2i.00. SHERIFF'S OFFICE Out of State travel request for Deputy Josh Sainsbury to attend the "Patrolling the Impaired Crossroads of Arnerica" training in Indianapolis, Indiana from August io-1z, 2008. GRANI'MENTAL HEALTHC�iRE Request to increase their Advance Travel Fund by $i,5oo.0o to the total amount of $5,000.00. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the following Final Plat Submissions and Reviews: i. Ed Sherman (Ed Sherman Short Plat (FU 85, Blk 78)) File #07-4928-01 2. Rock Witte (Rocic Witte Short Plat File #o8-5oi1-o1 3. Aleksey and Svetlana Mazhnikov (Aleksey Mazhnikov Short Plat) File #0�-4786-or The Commissioners approved a request from the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for legal representation for John D. Knodell in the WSBA File No. 08-oo74i; and for D. Angus Lee in the WSBA File No. 08-00740. As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amount of $738,5o6.i5, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS The Comrnissioners approved the Personnel Action Request Recommendation from the Human Resources Director to deny a request from Public Worlcs for fifty (50) days sicic leave donation for an employee. The Commissioners signed the Personnel Action Request (PAR) for the salary, wage, and/or position changes for Reagan K. Bellamy, Human Resources. The Commissioners appointed Terry Dorsing to the Grant County Planning Commission effective May �, 2008. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until May go, 2008. COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES Page 4 of 4 MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval No. o5-i through No. 05-101 in the total amount of $8io,7o5.88, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. The Commissioners signed the Public Worlcs Payroll Journal for the month of May, 2008.
