WHEREAS, Grant County is a third-class county, duly organized and operating under and by
virtue of the Constitution and the laws of the State of Washington; and
WHEREAS, Grant County Port District No, 2— Port of Royal Slope (Port), is a port district,
duly organized and operating under the laws of the State of Washington pursuant to Title 53 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Agreement Act codified in chapter 39.34 RCW, permits local
governmental units to cooperate in a manner that will accord best with geographic, economic,
demographic and other factors influencing the development of local comrnunities; and
WHEREAS, Grant County has 240 acres of surplus real property which could be of bene�t in
the possession, use and control of the Port; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that the jurisdictions cooperate in the transfer of the
subject real property; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners conducted a public hearing to consider the
Port's request to purchase 240 acres of surplus Grant County real property in the vicinity of Royal City,
Grant County, Washington; and
WHEREAS, all statutory notice requirements were followed pi-ior to conducting the public
hearing to consider the Port's request to purchase 240 acres of surplus Grant County real property; and
WHEREAS, the Board ot' County Commissioners found and deterinined, based in part on the
circurnstances, Two Hundred Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($200,000.00) is full and true value for the
subject parcel to be purchased by the Port; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners hereby declares its intent to transfer
jurisdiction of Grant County Tax Parcel No, 150362001, more particularly described below:
The Northwest quarter of the North half of the Southwest quarter, a11 in S
34,T17N,R23E,WM.

to Grant County Port District No. 2— Port of Royal Slope; and

WHEREAS, the jurisdictions desire to foi7nalize their agreement for the transfer of Grant
County's surplus real property to Grant County Port District No. 2— Poi�t of Royal Slope, in accordance
witli the provisions of RCW 39.33.010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT Grant County will transfer the
suUject real property to Grant County Port District No. 2— Port of Royal Slope via Quit Claim Deed,
pursuant to the following terms and conditions:
1. SALE PRICE, Grant County Port District No. 2— Port of Royal Slope agrees to purchase the
suUject real property in an "as is" condition, for the price of Two Hundred Thousand and No/100
Dollars ($200,000.00), in a"lump sum" payment.
2. PROP�RTY, Grant County will transfer the following surplus real property by Quit Claim
Deed, identi�ed as Grant County Tax Parcel No. 150362001, more pai�ticularly described as:
The Northwest quarter of the North half of the Southwast quarter, all in S
34, T 17 N, R 23 E, W. M.
3, DELIVERY DATE. Grant County Port District No. 2— Port of Royal Slope may take
possession of the subject real property upon con�i7ned delivery of all funds to the Board of County
Commissioilers.
