RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SOLE RESOLUTION No. 14- d�I S -CC
SOURCE PURCHASE FROM CERIUM
NETWORKS FOR THE UPGRADE OF
THE TELEHEALTH SYSTEM
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 39.04.280 provides for the exemption from the competitive bidding
requirements; and,
WHEREAS, competitive bidding requirements may be waived by the governing body of
the municipality for purchases that are clearly and legitimately limited to a single source supply
and purchases involving special facilities and market conditions; and,
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board that a request for sole source
purchase of computer equipment and professional services for Grant Integrated Services; and,
WHEREAS, Grant Integrated Services has previously purchased Telehealth equipment;
and
WHEREAS, all future equipment pacicages must be compatible with existing systems;
and
WHEREAS, Grant Integrated Services desires to purchase and install a pacicage system
from a single source provider of Telehealth systems.
WHEREAS, Cerium Networks possesses the unique and singularly available capability
to meet the requirements of the solicitation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Grant County
Commissioners that the bidding requirements be, and hereby are, waived pursuant to R.C.W.
39.04.280 and that Cerium Networlcs be, and hereby is, authorized as the sole source vendor for
this sole source purchase. �
