, RESOLUTION IN RE: VOLUNTARY RESOLUTION No. 14- ��� -CC
WITHDRAWAL OF STRATEGIC
INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT AND
AWARD FUNDING
WHEREAS, The Grant County Board of County Commissioners ("BOCC") previously
approved a Strategic Infrastructure Program (SIP) Advisory Committee recommendation for
funding SIP #2012-08, Port of Coulee City (GC Port District #4) ("Port"), Coulee City Marina
Boat Dock Expansion, in the form of a $70,000 Grant and a $30,000 Loan through Resolution
No. 13-006-CC (attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated as if fully set forth herein); and
WHEREAS, the BOCC has received a written request dated September 23, 2014 from
Lawrence C. Julius, P.E., of Gray & Osborne, Inc., on behalf of the Port for SIl' #2012-08, to
voluntarily withdraw the above-referenced project and thereby waive or otherwise relinquish the
project's funding award of the $70,000 Grant and $30,000 Loan (attached hereto as Exhibit B
and incorporated as if fully set forth herein); and
WHEREAS, the BOCC finds that it is in the best interest of the County and the Poi�t to
approve the Port's request to withdraw the above-referenced project and reallocate the project's
funding award monies into the SIP 113 Account's available funds total.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ACTED ON THE PORT'S REQUEST AS FOLLOWS:

The project funds previously allocated under Resolution No. 13-006-CC for SIl' No.
2012-08 in the amount total of$100,000 will be transferred by the County's Chief Accountant
into the Economic Enhancement Strategic Infrastructure Ending Fund Balance,
113155.00.0000.508000000.

Dear Ms. Strickler:
On behalf of Grant County Port District No. 4 (the Port of Coulee City),this
correspondence is to inform the Board of Commissioners that the PorC of Coulee City
would like to volunteer to withdraw its Coulee City Marina Boat Docic Expansion pro�ect
(Strategic Infrastructure Project Recommendation SIP No. 2012-08) for funding from the
SIP program. '
Together with the Town of Coulee City,the Port will be embarking on a comprehensive
evaluation of the entire Coulee City Marina and Park over the next year. Once this Study
is complete, the Port and the Town will be in a better position to determine the overall
improvements to the Marina and Park, including the extent and location of additional
boat dock slips.
