D Heilman, Public Works Update 1. Resolution/Notice of Hearing: Vacating Right of Way on Road 23-NE from MP 1.00 to MP 1.50 in Sections 4 and 9 of T22N, R27, E,W.M. Grant County, (This item is being postponed) 2. Commissioners Carter and Stevens authorized Todd Mittge to sign plats for the County Engineer in absence of the official County Engineer. (Approved) 1:30 p.m.—1:40 p.m. Bid Opening, 13-SE Road Project (CRP 13-03) The following bids were received: ' 1. Tommer Construction $229,333.00 2. North Central Construction $261,256.50 ' 3. HLT Construction Inc. $257,923.25 4. Advanced Excavation $222,550.00 A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Carter,to turn over the bids to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance, 2:30 p.m.—2:50 p.m. D Lee, Prosecuting Attorney's Office Update 3:00 p.m.—3:15 p.m. Consent Agenda (Items 1 through 12) A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Carter,to approve items 1 through 12 on the Consent Agenda as presented, The motion passed unanimously. COMMISSIONERS OFFICE 1. Commissioners Office and Public Defense Vouchers. (Approved) 2, 3-Special occasion license applications from Columbia Basin Rodeo Association, 1036 W Broadway, Moses Lake,WA 98837,from the Washington State Liquor Control Board. (Approved) � 3. Sexual Assault Core, Prevention, and Specialized Services Grant#14-31110-165 between the " Washington State Department of Commerce, Office of Crime Victims Advocacy, and Grant !� Integrated Services' New Hope Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services in the amount of $225,482,the term is July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. (Approved) � 4. Agreement between Grant County and Ephrata Farmers Market Association, Inc.to use restroom facilities each Saturday between 8:00—12:00 thru the end of October 2013. ' (Approved) , HUMAN RESOURCES ; � 5. Personnel Action Request Recommendation regarding a request from Public Defense for an exception to the hiring freeze to hire an Administrative Assistant due to internal department changes and a larger work load. Request to purchase a reconditioned floor scrubber from Cleaning Equipment Supply in the amount of$3,750.00 using Fairgrounds Bond funds. (Approved) 7. Request to purchase lumber to renovate the portable Rodeo bleachers from Pro-Build, Othello, WA in the amount of$12,299.31, using Fairgrounds Bond funds. (Approved) 8. Request to declare 1970 Ford fire truck as excess and to sell to another governmental agency. (This item is being held for clarification on which governmental agency the truck is being sold to) TECHNOLOGY SERVICES 9. Held from the June 11, 201� Consent Agenda meeting: Recommendation i;o award the Storage I', Area Network(Storage Arrays) Request for Proposal project to the only bidder that submitted a , bid, CDW, in the amount of$179,992.25. (Approved) SHERIFF'S OFFICE 10. Request to surplus 5-Kustom Trooper Radar Units and give them to the Soap Lake and Mattawa Police Departments at no cost. (Approved, Resolution No. 13-037-CC) 11, Request to surplus 68—Sig-Sauer SP2340 pistols and 7—Smith and Wesson 4006 pistols and sell them to Gunarama Wholesale Inc. in the amount of$17,000.00 and Old World Trading in the amount of$1,400.00. Their intent is to purchase 40—new Glock pistols, extra magazines, �i security holsters and attached lighting, using these funds. Additional dollars owed will be paid through INET forfeiture funds. (Approved, Resolution No. 13-038-CC) WSU EXTENSION OFFICE 12. Request for an exception to the hiring freeze to hire 1-Program Coordinator for Volunteer � Management and budget extension in the amount of$19,000 due to an amendment to their 2013 Memorandum of Agreement with Washington State.
