RESOLUTI01�1 IN RE: S'TRATEGIC
INFRASTRUCTUI2E COMIVIITTEE
RECOMMENDATION FOR FUNDING
WHEREAS, The Grant County (County) Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)
approved a Strategic Infrastructure Program Prioritization Process; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC found it in the best interests of the County to set up a committee
to facilitate local coordination and communication; and
WHEREAS, the Strategic Infrastructure Program (SIP) Committee (Committee)has
submitted recommendations for funding; and
WHEIZEAS, the BOCC has reviewed recommendation(s) submitted by the Committee;
and
�VHER�AS,the BOCC adopted Resolution No. 13-067-CC acting on the SIP Advisory
Committee Funding Recommendations on SIP #2013-06 for the City of George and Port of
Quincy (GC Port Dist. #1) and#2013-07 for the Port of Royal Slope (GC Port Dist. #2)to
approve#2013�06 as recommended and approve #2013-07 with a modification of funding in the
form of a grant and a loan; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC has since met with representatives from the Port of Royal Slope
and learned that the Port has committed substantial sums in the SIP#2013a07 project; and
WHEREAS,the BOCC and desires to modify the award of SIP #2013-07 as initially
recommended by the SIP Advisory Committee;
NOW, TI�EREFORE,BE IT HEREBY 1�SOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners hereby repeals Resolution No. 13-067-CC in its �ntirety and has acted on the SIP
Advisory Committee Funding Recommendations for SIP #2013-06 and#2013-07 as follows:
City of George and Port of Quincy (GC Port Dist. #1) 2013-06
Industrial Park#5 Water System I�aprovements, Phase I $50,000 Grant
Port of Royal Slope (GC Port Dist. #2) 2013-07
Water Line Extension to Hiawatha Industrial Park $260,000 Grant
These funds shall be utilized within one year of award or returned to the fund for use by
other recipients.
