HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutesP COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of January 21,1992 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the request from the Law Library to transfer $20,372 from the Current Expense Fund to the Law Library Fund for 1992. The Commissioners approved the request from the Fair Manager to transfer $50,000 from the Admissions Tax Fund into the County Fair Fund. The Commissioners received amended affidavits from Mark E. Stansfield. The. matter was referred to the Prosecutors Office for handling. The Commissioners received comments from the Department of Ecology regarding the determination of nonsignificance for the Crescent View Condominiums proposed by Crescent View Inc. The Commissioners received information from the Public Utility District regarding the Hillcrest Road Improvement District Lighting District. The information was referred to the County Treasurer. The Commissioners approved the salary for Court Commissioner James Brown as requested by the Superior Court Judges. The Commissioners approved the salary of Adel Tjoelker of the Sheriff Department at 80% of control salary for Records Clerk. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the Running Iron Estates Short Plat for January 28,1992 at 3:00 p.m. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the South Hills Addition Zone Change proposal for January 28,1992 at 3:30 p.m. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the Preliminary Plat application for Winchester Estates for February 4,1992 at 1:30 p.m. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the Preliminary Plat application for Valley View Vista Estates for February 4,1992 at 2:30 p.m. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the Zone Change request by Virgil and Lois Donovan for February 4,1992 at 3:30 p.m. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting on the Zone Change request by Timothy Kenney for February 10,1992 at 1:30 p.m. f ' r The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding a Supplemental Agreement (revised) -Bridge #116, Tommer Construction -Oversize Removal Request, RID - Latecomer Assessments. The Commissioners held a Public Hearing to take public input regarding the possibility of re- aligning the County Commissioner Districts. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin, seconded by Commissioner Winzler that the matter be continued until February 3,1992 at 1:30 P.M. The motion carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed preliminary plat application to allow for 192 single family home lots in the west half of S27,T21 N.,R26E.W.M. by Trans Cascade Development Inc. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that the project be approved. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved the salary of Sheila Poe of the Prosecuting Attorney Department at $1,547 per month effective January 1,1992. The Commissioners approved the salary of Scott Keeler of the Sheriff Department at 80 percent of control salary for Corrections Officer effective January 15,1992. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff Department for the purchase of one mid size vehicle through the State bid process. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the above list filed in the Auditors Office 1/21/92 in the total amount of $125,539.84. The Commissioners approved the salary of James D. Kendall of the Prosecuting Attorney Department in the Support Enforcement section at $42,000 per year effective January 8,1992. The Commissioners approved the request by the Fair Board to pay Linda Edwards a salary of $1,500 per month for the 1992 year. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin, seconded by Commissioner Winzler that a Growth Management meeting be held January 23,1992 at 7:00 p.m. The motion carried.
