A budget extension hearing was set for 1VIay 9, 2011 at $:go p.m.) io:oo a.m. — io:go a.m. io:go a.m. —10:45 a.m. Pesticide Buffering Conference Call with Senator Cantwell's Office Citizen Public Comment Period Roy Fode came in to discuss metal thefts and malicious mischief / vandalism in Grant County. Last year someone stole approximately 28o brass sprinkler heads from his property. Commissioner Stevens stated the new Sheriff has been putting an emphasis on prevention of this type of issue. Mr. Fode asleed if a"Sub-Deputy" could be assigned to drive around the area at night to look over farms. Commissioner Stevens said he would need to talk to the SherifPs Office. Commissioner Swartz said on the West side of the state, their recycle companies pay $25.00 imrnediately for metal, then you have to wait i month for the balanee owed so they can malce sure its not stolen. Less than a month ago his truck was stolen out of his yard, in the middle of the night.
