RECITALS:
W�-IEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.34.010, the Board of County Commissioner of Grant
County has the authority to decide wllether real or personal property owned by the county is
surplus to the needs of the county; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36,34.130 the Board of County Commissioner of Grant
County may dispose of county property to another governmental agency upon such terms as may
be agreed upon and for such consideration as inay be deemed by the Board of County
Commissioners to be adequate; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office has surplus miscellaneous and obsolete
radio equipment they wish to tr�nsfer to other governmental agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Grant CoLU1ty Sheriff's Office has requested that the Board of County
Commissioners of Grant County declare said radio equipme�lt to be surplus to the needs of the
county; and
WHEREAS, the Gi�ant County SherifP's Office has noted that the Grant County Amateur
Radio Emergency Service worlcs closely with the Department oi'Emergency Management, and
those items set out in Appendix B (attached) will be utilized by the Broolcline Massachusetts
Police Department in conjunction with their 4.9 GHz as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the items listed on Appendix A (attached) s11a11 be declared to be surplus
and given to the Grant County Amateur Radio Emergency Service; and the items listed on
Appendix B (attached) shall be declared to be surplus and given to the Broolcline, Massachusetts
Police Department. ,
NOW, THEREFOR�, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF �
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY th�t the miscellaneous and obsolete
r�dio equiprnent as set forth in Appendix A and Appendix B be declared surplus to the I
needs of the county, �nd the s�me be conveyed to the following agencies: Grant County '
Arn�teur Radio Ernergency Services nnd the Brooliline, M�ssachusetts Police Department, '
for use in e�ch respective agency. I
