RESOLUTION IN RE: STRATEGIC RESOLUTION No. 10-0(P CC
INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE
RECOMMENDATION FOR FUNDING
WHEREAS, The Grant County (County) Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved a
Strategic Infrastructure Program Prioritization Process; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC found it in the best interests of the County to set up a committee to
facilitate local coordination and communication; and
WHEREAS, the Strategic Infrastructure Program (SIP) Committee (Committee) has submitted
recommendations for funding; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC has approved one or more recommendations (with or without
modifications) submitted by the Committee; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC recognizes that public facilities, as opposed to private groups, qualify for
SIP funding under RCW 82.14.370; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC sent the matter as to whether or not the Sentinel Water Gap Association
qualified for funding under RCW 82.14.370 to legal counsel for review; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC received a written opinion from legal that the Sentinel Water Gap
Association did not qualify for funding under RCW 82.14.370;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS DENIED THE FOLLOWING FUNDING REQUEST:
Sentinel Gap Water Association SIP #2010-03
Small Water System Management Program Requested Amount: 515,500.00
