HomeMy WebLinkAboutCommissioners Proceedings - Commissioners - 20 (437)COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of July 17, 2006 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Deputy Clerk of the Board The Commissioners approved the request of the District Court Administrator to increase the petty cash for the front counter from $75.00 to $200.00 The Commissioners approved the requests of the Sheriff's Office for: • a budget extension in the amount of S8,600.00 for a LEXIPOL Policy Manual; • a budget extension in the amount of $5,529 00 for camera expansion in the maximum security jail; • a budget extension to receive a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission in the amount of $1,840 00 to purchase a direction sensing radar unit; • a budget extension in the amount of $51,036.00 to receive a grant from Community Trade and Economic Development for their Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team; and • a budget extension in the amount of $1,000.00 to receive a grant from the Washington Association of Sheriff s and Police Chiefs to purchase thirty-five (35) traffic safety wands. The hearings were set for August 14, 2006 at 9:30 am. The Commissioners approved the request of the Port of Moses Lake for an extension of SIP Award #2005-06, the Northern Columbia Basin Railroad Project. The time allotted to complete the project was extended through June 2007. The Commissioners denied the request of the Sheriffs Office to consider a resolution that would allow any Deputy that was inured and disabled while performing their duties, recover loss of time benefits at 100% of that time not covered by the Department of Labor and Industries. The Commissioners approved the request from the Human Resources Director for out of state travel to attend a conference in Sun Valley, ID September 27-29, 2006. As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42 24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24 090, in the amounts of $865,988 63, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board The Comrmssioners denied the request from the Central Basin Audubon Society for funding for the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge in Othello, WA. The Commissioners signed the 2006 Rodeo Facility Agreement between Grant County and the Columbia Basin Rodeo Association. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until July 18, 2006. The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign approval of the New License Application for Lawrence Cellars, 13000 Road D. SW, Royal City, WA 99357-9776. The applicants are Lawrence Cellars, LLC The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign a Notice of Liquor License Application Assumption from Westshore Improvement, LLC, dba The Steakhouse at Moses Pointe 4524 Westshore Dr. NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837-8717; applicant is Moses Point Holdings, LLC The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding- CRP Resolution for Rd 12 -SW & Dodson Road, Quadco Meeting on Friday, July 21 st at 10.00 a in. to noon, Facilities Maintenance Specialist Position to Gary Gregory, Secretary/Receptionist Position to Karen Maedke; Miscellaneous Complaints; and HHW Event Information A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Allison, that Resolution No. 06 -196 -CC, a resolution in the matter of initiating county road projects and assigning CRP numbers for the Dodson Road at Rd 12 -SW Safety Project, be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until July 24, 2006. Signed this day of USE> 2006.
