GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RESOLUTION
THE SUBMITTAL DEADLINE FOR No. 2007- 085/ -CC
THE 2007 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
AMENDMENT APPLICATIONS GRANT COUNTY PLANNING
PURSUANT TO GRANT COUNTY DEPARTMENT
CODE SECTION 25.12.030(e).
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of County Commissioners intend to fully
comply with the laws and regulations of the State of Washington, and,
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of County Commissioners adopted a
Growth Management Act compliant Comprehensive Land Use Plan in September of
1999, and;
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of County Commissioners adopted a
Unified Development Code implementing the Comprehensive Plan on October 1, 2000,
and:
WHEREAS, the Grant County Unified Development Code provides a process for
amending the Comprehensive Plan, and:
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of County Commissioners passed
Resolution 06 -269 -CC that amended the submittal deadline for annual Comprehensive
Plan Amendment Applications, and;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 06 -269 -CC the Grant County Board of
County Commissioners shall, from time to time, establish the submittal deadline for the
annual Comprehensive Plan Amendment petition applications by resolution at a public
meeting, and;
WHEREAS, notice for this public meeting was published in the Columbia Basin
Herald on June 15, 2007 and June 22, 2007, and;
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of Commissioners conducted an open
public meeting on July 3, 2007 in regards to this matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, THAT the Board of
County Commissioners for Grant County, Washington establish by this Resolution, that
petitions for the 2007 Comprehensive Plan Amendment cycle shall be submitted to the
Grant County Planning Department by the close of business on Tuesday, July 31, 2007.
