RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE RESOLUTION No. 07- 613 -CC
ESTABLISHMENT OF A NEW FUND #135,
DEPARTMENT #186 NAMED EMERGENCY
COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners that a new
fund / department should be established as set forth hereinabove; and
WHEREAS, revenue in the fund shall be used to provide emergency 911 communication services,
WHEREAS, the fifty cent ($0 50) county enhanced 911 excise tax imposed under RCW 82 14B.030
to be used to provide an emergency services communication system, and the sales and use tax under RCW
82 14 420 authorized by a vote of the people to be used solely for the purpose of providing funds for costs
associated with financing, design, acquisition, construction, equipping, operating, maintaining, remodeling,
repairing, reequippmg, and improvement of emergency communication systems and facilities shall be
deposited into the fund, and
WHEREAS, the interest earned from investment of the fund's assets shall remain in the fund, and
WHEREAS, the establishment of said fund / department may be accomplished without a public
hearing pursuant to state and county budget laws,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the following fund /
department is hereby created and established: 135 -Emergency Communications Services Department 186, and
the Grant County Auditor and the Grant County Treasurer are hereby directed to establish said fund /
department in their respective offices.
This resolution is in the best interests of good government and shall take effective immediately.
