Wildfire, August 31, 2007
WHEREAS, the Department of Grant County Emergency Management
has reported to the Grant County Board of County Commissioners on August 31,
2007, that the impacts of a wildfire, which began on August 31, 2007, within a
portion of Grant County with rugged terrain, which will threaten the Town of
Marlin. The fire impacted approximately 10,000 acres of rural Grant County Fire
District 12.
WHEREAS, local resources from Grant County Fire Districts 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
12, 13, City of Ephrata, City of Grand Coulee, and City of Coulee. Mission
number 07-2884 was assigned by the State Duty Officer at 16:56 on August 31,
2007.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners Chairman, Le Roy
Allison at the request of the Emergency Management Coordinator to authorize
activation of Grant County's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan
Emergency Support Function 4;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT:
(1) It is hereby declared that there is an emergency due to the impacts
suffered from the wildfire of August 31" 2007, throughout a portion
of Grant County, and
