JURISDICTION OF A PORTION OF
COUNTY ROAD, KITTLESON ROAD
AND PORTIONS OF THE NORTH
FRONTAGE ROAD TO THE CITY OF
MOSES LAKE
RESOLUTION NO. 2007- Cdl -CC
JURISDICTION TRANSFER
Whereas, in accordance with RCW 39.33.010, Grant County, a political
subdivision of the State of Washington, acting through its Board of Commissioners,
recognizes the benefits of transferring jurisdiction of a certain portions of County Roads
(Kittleson Road and North Frontage Road) as described below and declares its intentions
to transfer Jurisdiction to the City of Moses Lake, a municipal corporation of the State of
Washington.
LEGAL DISCRIPTION: This Jurisdictional Transfer consists of three portions of
roads as follows:
Portion 1: Kittleson Road
That portion of Kittleson Road also known as County Road
Log Number 40050, from the beginning mile post of 2.01
at the intersection of Kittleson Road and County Road L -
NE thence westerly along said road to the ending mile post
of 2.30 at the intersection with the City of Moses Lake
corporate boundary, along the section line common to
Sections 25 and 36, Township 19 North, Range 28 East,
W.M., Grant County, Washington.
Portion 2: North frontage Road (North Portion)
That portion of North frontage Road also known as County
Road Log Number 43520, from the beginning mile post of
14.323 at the intersection of North frontage Road and the
projection of the north boundary of Lot 3, Sparks Short Plat
No.2, as recorded in Book 13 of Short Plats, page 98,
records of Grant County, thence northerly along said road
to the ending mile post of 14.380 at the intersection of
North frontage Road and Kittleson Road, along the section
line common to Section 36, Township 19 North, Range 28
East, and Section 3l, Township 19 North, Range 29 East,
W.M., Grant County, Washington.
Portion 3: North frontage Road (South Portion)
That portion of North Frontage Road also known as County
Road Log Number 43520, from the beginning mile post of
14.007 at the intersection of the North Frontage Road and
the projection of the east boundary of Lot 2, Sparks Short
Plat No.2, as recorded in Book 13 of Short Plats, page 98,
records of Grant County, thence westerly along said road to
the ending mile post of 14.100, at the intersection of the
North Frontage Road and the projection of the west
boundary line of said Lot 2, contained within Section 31,
Township 19 North, Range 29 East, W.M., Grant County,
Washington.

WHEREAS, Grant County Public Works and the City of Moses Lake have
previously agreed to work towards the transfer of jurisdiction of the portions of said
roads, and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer recommends the Grant County Board of
Commissioners proceed with the jurisdiction transfer as mutually agreed, per 39.33.010,
and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Grant County Board
of Commissioners transfer jurisdiction of portions of County Roads known as Kittleson
Road and North Frontage Road to the City of Moses Lake to become effective upon the
date the City of Moses Lake executes a resolution accepting jurisdiction of said roads.
