AN AMENDMENT OF RESOLUTION NO. 98 -108 -CC BY, ADOPTING A
WORK PROGRAM TO IMPLEMENT A PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
PROGRAM TO GUIDE A MANDITORY REVIEW AND UPDATE OF
THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
PURSUANT TO RCW 36.70A.140
WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act requires that jurisdictions review and
update their comprehensive plans and development regulations every seven years; and
WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act requires early and continuous public
participation for all activities conducted pursuant to the Act; and
WHEREAS, the County intends to comply with the provisions of the Growth
Management Act; and
WHEREAS, the County has previously adopted a public participation program by
Resolution 98 -108 -CC on August 3, 1998;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board adopts the attached document
entitled Public Participation Plan 2006 Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulations
Update, referenced as the "2006 Update", the Board of County Commissioners of Grant
County, Washington, does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The County will implement, to the best of its ability, the components
of the "2006 Update" attached as "Exhibit A" within the adopted public participation plan.
Section 2. The Resolution will take effect and be in fill force immediately upon
passage by the Board.

Public Participation Plan 2006 Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulations Update
The following is a revision of pages 4-8 beginning at "PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PLAN"
of the 1998 Public Participation Program Adopted by Resolution 98 -108 -CC August 3,
1998.
Public Meetings and Workshops
Vision, Values and Goals Workshops
Alliance Consulting Group, Inc and the County Planning staff will be conducting three
public meetings, throughout the County to review the mandated 2006 Comprehensive Plan
and Development Regulations Update process, the technical review and seek public
comment on desired changes.
NOTICES
Alliance Consulting Group, Inc will work with County staff to draft a Skyline Newsletter
that will be mailed to all known addresses within the County and a flyer to distribute to
local City Halls, libraries, and the like. Each City Hall will be requested to post in areas
where the public gathers and/or traditional posting locations for local legal notices. Legal
notices for newspaper publications will be provided by the County staff to meet the
minimum requirements ofRCW 36.70.
