ORDER GRANTING CLOSURE
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, considered a
request to close to vehicular thru-traffic a certain county road and by this resolution entered upon its
minutes, declared its intention to close to vehicular thru-traffic a certain county road described as follows
Legal Description, AT A POINT, COUNTY ROAD VIEWMOUNT DR, ROAD LOG
NUMBER 21603, AT MILE POST 0.55, LYING IN SECTION 3,
TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 28 EAST, IN GRANT COUNTY.
WHEREAS, a notice of hearing on the closure was published in the county official newspaper at
least once a week for two consecutive weeks preceding the date fixed for the hearing, and a copy of said
notice was posted for at least twenty days preceding the date fixed for hearing at the point of closure, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have been requested by the two adjacent
developers to close Viewmount Dr to vehicular thru-traffic at the point described above, and illustrated in
Exhibits A & B, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners did consider the verbal report given by the
County Road Engineer, together with any evidence for or objection against said closure, and
WHEREAS, it is the preference of the Grant County Emergency response Agencies to use a gate
style of the closure so that Fire District 5 & The Grant County Sheriffs Office will be able to open the gates
for emergency access, and
WHEREAS, this closure shall not take place until Castlewood Or from Dream St to Scenic Dr ,
and Scenic Or from Castlewood Dr to Dune Lake Rd are constructed and accepted by the County, and the
County reserves the right to re -open this road as deemed necessary by the County Road Engineer, and
WHEREAS, the closure shall accommodate the passage of pedestrians and bicyclists, and
WHEREAS, the petitioning developers shall be responsible for installing gates and signs upon
approval of the County Engineer, and supplying one set of replacement gates to be held by the County, and
all costs to be borne by the petitioners,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners closes the
portion of a certain County Road described above
