RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING GRANT RESOLUTION No. 06 -/,3t -CC
COUNTY CREDIT CARDS,
WHEREAS, Grant County has used retail gasoline credit cards issued through the Public
Works Department to purchase fuel for County vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the County has obtained and used such credit cards without major incident
for several years; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature finds that the use of credit cards is a
customary and economical business practice to improve cash management, reduce costs, and
increase efficiency; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature has enacted legislation (RCW
43.09.2855) which requires that any county with contracts for the issuance and use of credit
cards adopt policies governing the distribution, authorization, credit limits, payment and control
of such credit cards;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Grant County Auditor
shall implement and maintain a system for the distribution, authorization and control of credit
cards issued for the benefit of the County and used by County officials and employees.
