RESOLUTION No. o5 -32 -9' -CC
A RESOLUTION relating to a supplemental extension in the 2005 budget of the Grant
County Emergency Management Fund #102, Department #144, due to unanticipated state and/or
federal funds.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners that
unanticipated state and/or federal funds have been made available for the 2005 budget of the Grant
County Emergency Management Fund #102, Department #144, in the amount of $250.00; and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.40. 100 authorizes supplemental appropriations from unanticipated
state and/or federal funds after publications of notice of the time and date of a public hearing at
which the supplemental appropriations resolution will be adopted, and the amount of the
appropriation, once each week, for two consecutive weeks prior to such public hearing in the official
newspaper of the county; and
WHEREAS, publication of the requisite legal notice was made in the Quincy Valley Post
Register newspaper of Grant County on December 8 and 15, 2005, and said public hearing was held
in the Grant County Commissioners Office, Grant County Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the 2005 budget
of the Grant County Emergency Management Fund #102, Department #144, supplemented and
extended in the sum of $250.00 due to unanticipated state and/or federal funds according to the
following schedule of categories and items.

Dear Commissioners:
Ref Budget Extension
This letter is to request a budget extension for program; Project 059, for Grant Contract
Numbei 04-080. The Office of Domestic Preparedness awarded this grant through the
Emeigency Management Division of the WA State Military Dept. This grant was
awarded fol the development and to conduct exercises fol the counties of Homeland
Security, Region Seven.
In 2004 we submitted a claim for an invoice for Coulee Community Hospital for $249.63
In December of 2004 we were aware that this grant would not be extended into 2005 so
we did not seek at that time an extension of the project budget foi 2005. We received the
reimbui sement claim for Coulee Community Hospital in late January of 2005 and in turn
issue a check for the funding to Coulee Community Hospital The transaction was
completed however we overlooked that we had not sought a budget for 2005 for these
funds.
We request this extension to the original contract; and project budget 059 in the amount
of $250.00 to properly account for the funding and transfer of funds to Coulee
Community Hospital
