HomeMy WebLinkAboutCommissioners Proceedings - Commissioners - 20 (351)COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of May 31, 2005 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9.00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners held a public hearing regarding the adding to the UDC adopting a roadway construction and improvement section which will provide a mechanism for road improvement to occur in the Crescent Bar area. At the time of the hearing, the Chapters were not identified in the UDC to where this Ordinance will be placed. This Ordinance will be in effect June 6, 2005. Commissioner Moore moved to close public comment portion of the hearing, Commissioner Stevens seconded and the motion carried. Commissioner Moore moved to pass this Ordinance as presented by the Planning Director, Commissioner Stevens seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval No. 05-1 through No. 05-114 in the total amount of $476,479.97, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the Columbia Northwest Engineering, Phil Bloom (Sunserra at Crescent Bar Phase One) Final Plat Submission and Review, File #04-3838; and Columbia Northwest (Moses Pointe Phase 1 Block 5A) Final Plat Submission and Review, File #92-1384-05. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of May, 2005. As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amount of $214,807.90, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. The Commissioners appointed Lindsay Jenkins to the Grant County Fair Association Board. The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign approval of the Assumption from Brownies Korner Shell, Royal City, WA, from the Washington State Liquor Control Board. Applicants: Base Group Enterprises Inc., and Harjinder Singh Chana. A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Moore, that Resolution No. 05 -232 -CC, a resolution in the matter of changing the county road name Walker Rd. to Kory Lane; and. I.5 -- NE to Rd I -NE, be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding Twelve Hour Shifts between Grant County and the Grant County Sheriffs Office. Pagel of 2 COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of May 31, 2005 The Commissioners signed a Preliminary Mitigation Agreement (Off Site Roadway Mitigation for Final Plat Approval) between Grant County and Riverview at Crescent Bar LLC. The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign a Washington State Department of Community "Trade and Economic Development/Community Development Block Grant Program General Purpose Grant for contract number 05-64005-024, for the development of a new domestic well source in the Beverly Water District. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until June 2, 2005. June 2, 2005 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners signed an Agreement to Use County Property for Public Purpose between Grant County and the Sage n' Sun Festival Committee. The Commissioners appointed Gerry Ramm to the Board of Adjustment. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until June 6, 2005. Signed this day of k 2005.
