IN THE MATTER OF ADOPTING A RESOLUTION No. 2005 - 41 - CC
JOINT RESOLUTION WITH THE TOWN RESOLUTION No. 05--202--CC
OF WILSON CREEK SUPPORTING THE ..a C'
CONSTRUCTION OF A CERTAIN 'TRUCK
ROUTE ,
WHEREAS, RCW 36.75.205, Street as extension of road in town of less than one thousand,
whenever any street in any town, having a population of less than one thousand persons, forms an extension
of a county road of the county in which such town is located, and where the board of county commissioners
of such county and the governing body of such town, prior to the commencement of any work, have mutually
agreed and each adopted a resolution setting forth the nature and scope of the work to be performed and the
share of the cost or labor which each shall bear, such county may expend county road funds for construction,
improvement, repair, or maintenance of such street, and
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners for Grant County and the Town Council of
Wilson Creek agree to cooperate to perform the required construction to improve Railroad St. from 6`' Ave.
to R NE Road and Sprague Ave., and
WHEREAS, the last population estimate provided from the State Office of Financial Management
for the Town of Wilson Creek, Washington, is 245 persons for the year 2004, and
WHEREAS, the nature and scope of this project includes surfacing a two lane street with a finished
width of 30 feet, 4" of crushed surfacing top course, BST Class A, and other work necessary to complete the
work on a town street known as Railroad Street from 6th Ave. to R NE Road and Sprague Ave., a distance
of 0.549 miles, and
WHEREAS, both agencies desire to complete the described work in the year 2005, and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of this project from the County Engineer's office is $75,000 and the
major work items and their associated costs are shown as follows:

WHEREAS, both agencies agree to share the costs of the project as follows:

WHEREAS, Grant County Public Works agrees to act as the Lead Agency for all aspects of the
design and construction of the street, and the Town of Wilson Creek agrees administer the Rural
Development Grant and operate and maintain the completed work as required in Federal rules, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County,
Washington, and the Town Council of the Town of Wilson Creek, agree to the nature and scope of this
resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the County Road Engineer is instructed to create a County Road
Project and perform the necessary work to complete this project in 2005.
