HomeMy WebLinkAboutCommissioners Proceedings - Commissioners - 20 (337)COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of September 6, 2004 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved and signed the Grant County Law Library's request to purchase a Hewlett Packard Laserjet 2300L printer. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until September 7, 2004. September 7, 2004 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign a notice of approval for a Liquor License application from Stratford Road Espresso/Smoke Shop owned by Dan & Linda Adair. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers as presented by the Grant County Health District: Payroll, Payroll vouchers #1 — 5, and General Fund Vouchers #6 -- 62, as have been recorded on a listing which has been made available to the Board in the amount of $125,218.81. The Commissioners signed a Request for Transfer within the Juvenile Court and Youth Services operating fund #001, Department #117 in the amount of $7,020.00 to utilize funding for Day Reporting Program. The Commissioners approved the summary of expenses for Dave Nelson, Building Department, to attend the Annual ICC Meeting in Salt Lake City on September 26 through October 2, 2004. The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on Loring/I-larris/Owen/Westover, CRP 03-10, EDA Project #07-01-05340. Bids are to be opened on October 5, 2004 at 1:30 pm. The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on A SW Rd., CRP 02-13. Bids are to be opened on September 21, 2004. The Commissioners approved the salary, wage, and/or position changes as recommended by Angie Clark, Human Resources Director, for Lyliane Sheetz, Teresa Chen, Prosecutor's Office; and Trisha Olson, Auditor -Elections Department. Page 1 of 3 COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of September 6, 2004 , The Commissioners approved the separation date of September 1, 2004 for Stacy Thompson, Developmental Disabilities Residential; and September 10, 2004 for Tammy J. Wiersma, Prosecutor's Office. A Public hearing was called to order by Commissioner Allison. This request is for a budget extension for Grant Mental Healthcare and Developmental Disabilities for a Copy Machine for the Moses Lake Office. It is also for miscellaneous children's activity tables, blinds, and office furniture for the Quincy office. They would like to transfer excess budget in Miscellaneous to Capital Equipment budget. Commissioner Moore moved to close the public portion of the hearing. Commissioner Allison seconded the motion. Commissioner Moore moved to pass the establishment of the fund, Commissioner Allison seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. A public hearing was called to order by Commissioner Allison. Chief Deputy John Turley stated that the hearing was regarding establishing an account for private contributions and donations for the creation of a motorcycle patrol within the Sheriff's department. It would include 3 motorcycles; officers in charge would be a Public Works traffic officer, Special Operations Jay Atwood, and Officer Sainsbury. Commissioner Moore moved to close the public portion of the hearing. Commissioner Allison seconded the motion. Commissioners Moore moved to pass the establishment of the fund, Commissioner Allison seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. September 8, 2004 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commission approved and signed the Juvenile Departments request for out of state travel for Linda Southwell, she will be attending a Functional Family Therapy Externship. The Commissioners approved the request of Angie Clark, Human Resources Director, to change the Superior Court's CASA Guardian ad Litem Coordinator job description, including changing the job title to CASA Guardian ad Litem Program Administrator; and to approve an exception to the hiring freeze for one (1) regular full-time CASA Guardian ad Litem Program Administrator position. As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amount of $1,220,664.23, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board.
