HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of July 26, 2004 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Deputy Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the salary, wage, and/or position changes for Oksana Babak, Grant County Mental Healthcare, as recommended by Angie Clark, Human Resources Director. The Commissioners approved the voluntary separation date of July 30, 2004 for Marsha Skipper, Prevention and Recovery Center and Floyd Hansen, Jr., Superior Court as recommended by Angie Clark, Human Resources Director. The Commissioners approved an amended "effective date" change for Peter Holly, Grant County Mental Healthcare to read August 9, 2004. A motion was made by the Commissioners that Resolution Number 04 -099 -CC, a resolution in the matter of Approving the Abbott Major Plat for Carmel Hallaway be passed. The motion carried. As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amount of $414,491.77, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. As there was no fiirther business to come before the Board the session was continued until July 27, 2004. July 27, 2004 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance with the Deputy Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners held a Bid Opening on District #3, Domestic Well. No Bids were submitted for review. The Commissioners advised Public Works to seek other avenues to complete the work. The Commissioners approved the Recision of Escrow No. 202015, abandoning the sale process for this case brought forth by Derek Pohle, PE, Director/County Engineer, Public Works Department, and Fran Woods, Public Works Accounting. The Commissioners approved a Recycling Drop Box Agreement between Grant County, acting through the Public Works Department, and Consolidated Disposal. Page 1 of 3 COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of July 26, 2004 The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for: Lot 2, GCDPW Short Plat No. 1 and Lot 3, GCDPW Short Plat No. 1. Bid opening date is to be August 10, 2004 at 2:00pm. The Commissioners approved the "11 `h Holiday" - Labor Contracts and Policy Recommendation brought forth by Angie Clark, Human Resources Director to establish the 11 `h Holiday be set based on the day of the week the Christmas Holiday occurs in any given year, and to propose said policy recommendation to the affected bargaining units There was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until July 28, 2004. July 28, 2004 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all the Commissioners in attendance. The Commissioners approved the request to show the film "Broken Limbs" on August 26, 2004 to all county employees, sponsored by Karen M. Lewis, WSU Grant County Extension. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore, that Ordinance/Resolution Number 04 -100 -CC, relating to a supplemental extension in the 2004 budget of Developmental Disabilities #125, Department #167 from unanticipated state and/or federal funds be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved and signed the 2004 Health Services Agreement between Annie S. Miller and Grant County to provide reasonable and necessary basic medical care to the inmates of Grant County Jail and/or satellite Work Release Facility and the Grant County Youth Services Center, in accord with the provisions of chapter 289-20 WAC, Custodial Care, Standard Health and Welfare, as codified on the date of this Agreement, and as amended; and chapters 18.71, 17.71A, 18.79, and 18.88 RCW. The Commissioners signed contract No. M05-67004111 between FARC and CTED/CMASA for a grant for communities to reduce the incidence of substance abuse and violence for youth and families. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until July 30, 2004. The Commissioners signed an authorization form regarding the FY2005 Wireless Operations Contract as submitted by Mary Allen, 911 Coordinator of the Multi Agency Communications Center.
