WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF DENYING AN AMENDMENT TO THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING AGRICULTURALLY RELATED INDUSTRIAL USES IN THE RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ZONE OF GRANT COUNTY. WASHINGTON. Resolution # 2001 -93 -CC RESOLUTION DENYING A UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a open record public hearing was conducted on May 2, 2001 on the matter of amending the Grant County Unified Development Code in regard to changing Agriculturally Related industrial Uses in the Recreation Development zone of Grant County. Washington from a Prohibited Ilse to a Conditional Use, and; WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission vote on May 2, 2001 did not establish a recommendation for or against this IJDC Amendment request and therefore the request was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners without a recommendation, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County held a closed record public meeting on June 4, 2001, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have been advised by the Grant County Planning Department that the proposed (JDC Amendment was processed in accordance with the requirements of UDC Chapter 2s 04 "Permit Application Review Procedures"; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Count) Commissioners have been advised by the Grant County Planning Department that the proposed l JDC Amendment was processed in accordance with the requirements of UDC Chapter 24 04 "State Environmental Policy Act"; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Counts Commissioners of Grant County have found that a Determination of Significance and Adoption of Fsisting Environmental Documentation was issued for this proposal on April 16,2001 and. WHEREAS, the Board of CountV Commissioners have found that the proposal is inconsistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan; and, Page 2 of 2 IN THE MATTER OF DENYING AN AMENDMENT TO THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING AGRICULTURALY RELATED INDUSTRIAL USES IN THE RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ZONE OF GRANT COUNTY. WASHINGTON WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the public use and interest will not be served by this UDC Amendment: and, WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal will adversely effect the health, safety, and general welfare of the public in the vicinity of the proposal; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County do by this resolution deny amending the Grant County Unified Development Code in regard to changing Agriculturally Related Industrial Use in the Recreation Development zone of Grant County, Washington, from a Prohibited Use to a Conditional Use.
