HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 01-129-CCBOARD OF GRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN THE MATTER OF CONDUCTING ) A CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION ) STUDY FOR CERTAIN DEPARTMENTS ) AND EMPLOYEES AND AUTHORIZING ) THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR ) TO SIGN THE CONSULTING AGREEMENT ) RESOLUTION NO. 2001 -129 -CC WHEREAS, the Board has determined that it wishes to proceed with a classification and compensation study for certain departments and employees for informational purposes only; and, WI EREAS, the Board desires to hire Owen Human Resource Consulting to conduct the classification and compensation studx , and Consultant desires to provide services to Grant County, and, WHEREAS, the Consultant has substantial skill and experience in human resources management, position classification_ job evaluation, and compensation and recruitment and selection, and, WHEREAS, the Consultant will receive direction and review from and shall report to Ms. Angie Clark, Human Resources Director, now, therefore, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Grant County Commissioners that the Board shall determine which Departments and emplovees will be the subject of the classification and compensation study; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Grant County Commissioners that this classification and compensation stud.N is being conducted for informational purposes only and shall not be binding on the Board_ and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Grant County Commissioners that Ms. Angie Clark, Human Resources Director. be and hereby is, authorized to sign the Consulting Agreement for services. BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS GRANT COUNTY, V1 ASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING EXTENDED FAMILY LIVING AS A DISCRETIONARY USE IN THE URBAN RESIDENTIAL -3 ZONE OF GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON. Resolution # 20nt-t ?R -r(-. RESOLUTION APPROVING A UNIFIED 1)EVFLOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a open record pre -decision hearing was conducted on July 12, 2001 on the matter of amending the Grant County Unified Development Code in regard to changing Extended Family Living in the Urban Residential -3 zone of Grant County, Washington, from a Prohibited Use to a Discretionary Use, and; WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission vote on July 12, 2001 did not establish a recommendation for or against this UDC Amendment request and therefore the request was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners without a recommendation, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have been advised by the Grant County Planning Department that the proposed UDC Amendment was processed in accordance with the requirements of UDC Chapter 2' .12 "Legislative Action"; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Countv Commissioners have been advised by the Grant County Planning Department that the proposed UDC Amendment was processed in accordance with the requirements of UDC Chapter 24.04 `State Environmental Policy Act"; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Countv Commissioners of Grant County have found that a Determination of Significance and Adoption of Existing Environmental Documentation was issued for this proposal on May 24, 2001, and: WHEREAS, the Board of Countv Commissioners of Grant County held an open record final decision hearing on August 6. 2001. and. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal is consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and internally consistent with the rest of the Unified Development Code; and, WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have Lound that the public use and interest will be served by the UDC Amendment..ind. Page 2 of 2 IN THE MATTER OF APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE REGARDING EXTENDED FAMILY LIVING AS A DISCRETIONARY USE IN THE URBAN RESIDENTIAL -3 ZONE OF GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal will not adversely effect the health, safety, and general welfare of the public in the vicinity of the proposal, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have made a decision to approve this UDC Amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County do by this resolution approve amending the Grant County Unified Development Code in regard to changing Extended Family Living in the Urban Residential -3 zone of Grant County, Washington, from a Prohibited Use to a Discretionary Use.
