DATED this 26th day of November,2001 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ATTEST: GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON clel' • ' ! ,% ' AAA 0 Clerk the Boal Chairman r --j i November 10, 2001 TO: GRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FROM: DARRYL PHEASANT GRANT COUNTY TREASURER LFbounty 3 1 RE: 2002 ASSESSMENTS FOR HILLCREST LIGHTING DISTRICT I have received from Jerry Tate of the Grant County PUD the estimated costs for 2002 that need to be paid and assessed on the properties within the boundaries of the Hillcrest Lighting District 93-12 in 2002. The original resolution stated that no new assessment will be prepared unless there is an increase or decrease in the annual anticipated lighting costs submitted by the Grant County PUD. Last years assessment rate was set at ($16.00) per parcel for 2001. The anticipated carryover going into 2002 amounts to around $2,700.00 and is very adequate to cover for payments in February and March. The carryover balance is much higher than anticipated due to the City of Moses Lake finally admitting the annexations of Gear and Coffin to the Grant County PUD which also took some streetligh-ts. Our monthly payment was thus affected and decreased from $510.00 to $493.00 a month and we received a big credit for overpayments from the beginning of those annexations. With the decrease in the monthly bill and the large credit received plus no rate increase by the PUD for 2002, we can significantly decrease the assessment from ($16.00) in 2001 to ($13.00) in 2002 which includes the county's administration fee. The administration fee will be still be $1.00 per parcel for 2002. Please start the process to decrease the assessment rate to $13.00 per parcel for 2002. .rd of County Commissioners Urant County, Washington Approve Disapprove Dist. #1 i Dist. #1 Dist. #2 Dist. #2 Dist. #3' r Dist. #3
