RESOLLTION NUMBER
A RESOLUTION relating to a supplemental extension in the 2001 budget of the
PREVENTION & RECOVERY CENTER (PARC) FUND # 1 I �, DEPT. # 157
due to unanticipated state and/or federal funds.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of Grant Commissioners
that unanticipated state and /or federal funds have been made available for the 2001 budget
of the PREVENTION & RECOVERY CENTER (PARC) F1 ND # 115, -DEPT. # 157
in the amount of $6,000
WHEREAS, RCW 36.40.100 authorizes supplemental appropriations from unanticipated
state and/or federal funds after publications of notice of the time and date of a public hearing at which
the supplemental appropriations resolution will be adopted, and the amount of the appropriation,
once each week, for two consecutive weeks prior to such public hearing m the official newspaper
of the county; and
WHEREAS, publication of the requisite legal notice was made In the Daily Herald
newspaper of Grant County on 12 / 7 & 14 / 2001 ___and said public hearing was held
in the Grant County Commissioners' Office, Grant County Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the _2001 _ (year)budget of the
PREVENTION & RECOVERY CENTER (PARC) FUND # 115, DEPT. # 157
supplemented and extended in the sum of $6,000 ____from
unanticipated state and/or federal funds according to the following schedule of categories and items:

We respectfully request your consideration for an extension to PARC's 2001 budget
in the amount of $6,000.00.
Grant County received a grant from the Department of Social & Health Services
(DSHS) for Middle School programs in Soap Lake. The total amount of the grant is
$88,660.00 beginning October 1, 2001 through June 30, 2003. We estimate
spending approximately $6,000 over the remainder of the 2001 year.
The DSHS Middle School grant allows us to expand after school and summer school
prevention programs in Soap Lake. Currently, we offer after school programs twice
a week utilizing the State Incentive Grant Funds. From November 2001 until June
30, 2002, we will be able to expand those services to five times a week.
