GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NUMBER 2001 -214 -CC
A RESOLUTION authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds
for the following department/fund: Current Expense Fund 41001 Coroners
Department 41120 , together with a budget therefore,
pursuant to RCW 36.40.140.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of
County Commissioners of Grant County that emergency conditions require
that an appropriation and expenditure of funds be authorized for the above-
mentioned department/fund, together with a budget therefor; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.140, Resolution No. ?nn 1 _,gg—cc
Was duly adopted on 12/6/01 , and published in the
„n,�, Hpra,rl on 12/11&17/o1 declaring an
emergency and stating the facts constituting the emergency and the
estimated amount of funds required to meet it, together with a notice of
public hearing, and said public hearing was held thereon where interested
persons were allowed to appear and be heard.-

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF
WASHINGTON, that an appropriation and expenditure of funds is hereby
authorized for the following department/fund: C ,rront F,xnpncp Fund Ikon]
Coroners Dept. #120 In the total sum of S 8,000 according to
the attached budget.
This resolution is in the best interests of good government and shall
take effect immediately upon its passage.

In 2001, $40.000 had been budgeted under 563.20.41.19, PATHOLOGY. Due to
a large increase in cases requiring autopsies, the current budgeted amount will be
insufficient for the duration of this year. I am respectfully requesting $6.000.00 to meet
the projected demands for this line item. Forty-one autopsies have already been
performed to date out of 232 cases. As of today's date this office is 33 cases above last
year case load.
The following is a break down of autopsy cases:

13 Accidents (asphyxia, OD, drowning, etc.)
