GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
Resolution Number 2001 -149 -CC
WHEREAS, the Grant County Commissioners and the people of
Grant County condemn the cowardly and deadly actions of the terrorists who
attacked our Country, and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Commissioners wish to support the
President of the United States, as he works with his national security team to
defend against further attacks upon our Country and find the perpetrators to
bring them to justice, and
WHEREAS, we have had citizens asking if there is anything they can
do to help in this very sad situation, it has been recommended that giving
blood could be the single most useful action Americans can take, and
WHEREAS, even though these horrific events have affected all
Americans, we cannot allow terrorism to break the spirit of the American
people, and
WHEREAS, the best way for the people of Grant County to show
these terrorists that they have truly failed is for all of us to carry on with the
regular activities of our lives and stand tall and proud in support of our
President and our Country.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Grant
County Commissioners and the people of Grant County do condemn the
terrorists and support the President of the United States as he works to find
the perpetrators and bring them to justice. and
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that our thoughts go out to those who have
lost family and loved ones in this terrible tragedy.
