RESOLUTION NUMBER 2002- 1 so -CC
WHEREAS, an employee of the Grant Mental Healthcare
Department is combating a serious illness and has exhausted
her total sick and annual leave benefits, and
WHEREAS, said employee currently is not in a financial
position to pay the premium of her health and welfare plan
and thereby continue her medical coverage, and
WHEREAS, many employees have expressed an interest
in diverting or transferring some of their accrued sick leave to
the account of said employee,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED and it is
hereby ordered that any employee who is interested in
diverting some of their accrued sick leave to the account of said
employee may do so in the months of November and
December, 2002 by submitting in writing to the Accounting
Office the amount of sick leave they desire to transfer along
with their signature to this request.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND HEREBY
ORDERED, that the total amount of sick leave donated shall
not exceed 120 days, and
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED AND HEREBY ORDERED
that this action shall in no way be construed to set a precedent.
