They are currently using Windows 95, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. We are going to upgrade to Windows 2000. The PC's, currently in the recording department are almost 5 years old, and cannot take the Windows 2000 operating system. The scanner also needs to be replaced. It is the original scanner we purchased and it is 8 years old. I have been told that one more scanner is needed for the ImageSource imaging system that has been installed for the clerk. There are funds from the surcharge on recorded documents that have been accumulated in the fund balance of the Auditors O&M fund to purchase this equipment. The PC's will be purchased through the IS Department and the Scanners through a State Contract. There is $6,500 in the Capital Outlay in the Auditors O&M Budget. I need to transfer $7,000 from Ending Fund Balance to Small Tools > $550 to purchase 5 PC's and $7,000 from Ending Fund Balance to Machinery -Equipment to purchase 2 scanners, Thank you for your consideration of this matter. oard of County Commissioners Grant County, Washington Approve Disapprove Dist.
