HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 04-054-CCBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS GST Co Grant County, Washington s+ow,sxwso IN THE MATTER OF SELLING LOT 2 Resolution No. 2004- �S�f -CC AND LOT 3 OF THE GCPWD SHORT PLAT NO. 1 (FORMERLY FARM UNIT 64, FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS BLOCK 75) WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has the authority to sell real property through RCW 36.34, and WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that it is in the best interests of the county and the taxing districts and the people thereof that Lot 2 and Lot 3 of the GCPWD Short Plat No. l should be sold under the limitations and restrictions and in the manner prescribed by law, and WHEREAS, the County Road Engineer did publish notice of the BOCC's intention to sell the described real estate once each week during two successive weeks in a legal newspaper of general circulation in the county, and posted the notice in a conspicuous place in the courthouse. Both posting and the date of first publication occurred at least ten days before the day set for the hearing, and WHEREAS, a hearing on the proposal to sell Lot 2 and Lot 3 of the GCPWD Short Plat No. 1 occurred in the BOCC's Hearing Room, located in the County Courthouse, 35 C Street NW, Ephrata, WA, at 2:00 P.M. on March 30, 2004, and all taxpayers in person or by counsel were allowed to submit evidence and submit an argument. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners finds that it is in the best interests of the county and the taxing districts and the people thereof that Lot 2 and Lot 3 of the GCPWD Short Plat No. 1, belonging to the county should be sold under the limitations and restrictions and in the manner prescribed by law and the receipts from the sale be deposited in the County Road Fund.
