A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RESOLUTION No. 2003-09,b -CC
SUNLAKES STATE PARK MASTER
PLAN. WASHINGTON STATE PARKS
SUN LAKES STATE PARK
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County adopted a Growth
Management Act compliant Comprehensive Land Use Plan on September 30, 1999, and;
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan designates Sun Lakes State Park as a Master
Planned Resort, and recognizes and references the Sun Lakes Park Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Sun Lakes State Park Master Plan was approved and adopted by the
Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission In 1998, after a lengthy planning and public
review process; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Department has reviewed the Sun Lakes Master
Plan and believes the Plan is well prepared and meets the intent of the Unified Development
Code § 25.12.070(a)(2) regarding a Master Plan for Sun Lakes State Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, THAT the Board of County
Commissioners for Grant County, Washington approve and adopt by this Resolution, the Sun
Lakes State Park Master Plan, dated June 1997 and approved by the Washington State Parks and
Recreation Commission in 1998.
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon signature.
