RESOLUTION requiring appropriation RESOLUTION No. 03-I50 -CC
and expenditure of funds
A RESOLUTION relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of
funds for the following department/fund: District Court Department #102, Miscellaneous
General Government Department #125, together with a budget therefore; declaring an
emergency; and setting a public hearing date; all pursuant to RCW 36.40.140.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners
of Grant County that an appropriation and expenditure of funds should be authorized for the
above-mentioned department/fund, together with a budget therefore, in the estimated amount of
$6,022 and
WHEREAS, expenditure of such funds was not included in the current budget of Grant
County, however, emergent conditions now require that such funds be expended; and
WHEREAS, it appears t' .t an emergency exists and that the expenditure of such funds
could not have been reasonably foieseen at the time of making said county budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the
aforementioned facts constitute an emergency and that an appropriation and expenditure of funds
should be authorized for the following department/fund: District Court Department #102,
Miscellaneous General Government Department 4125, together with a budget therefore.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of a public hearing upon such expenditure
shall be given, said hearing to be held on November 25, 2003 in the Grant County
Commissioners Hearing Room, Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington, at the hour of 4:00 p.m.

This is a request for a District Court Budget Extension in 512.40.35. (Smalls Tools and Minor Equipment). We received a
mini -grant from WTSC Washington Traffic Safety Commission in the amount of $1100.00 to purchase two portable
breathalyzers (PBTs). Currently, we have only $520 unexpended to date in that line item. Since we must expend first, we are
requesting this budget extension of $1100.
Per the enclosed letter from WTSC, we must purchase and send receipts with the required A-19 form to WTSC in order to
revenue the reimbursement.
Please respond to me as soon as possible so that we can make the full transaction in the month of November. If I can be of
further assistance, do not hesitate to contact me.
