HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCC (002)COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of November 30,1998 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman LeRoy C. Allison. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 98 -185 - CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Law Library Fund #110, Department Number 152 in the amount of $7,000 be passed. The motion carried. motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 98 -186 -Cc setting a Public Hearing for December 14,1998 at 1:00 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Domestic Violence Services Fund #128, Department 4170 be passed. The motion carried. 3, 1,�.V�- The Commissioners approved the request by the County Auditor to move Diane DeChenne to the Payroll Deputy position and advertise for a person to fill the vacant Voucher Deputy position. ?) rgg-/The Commissioners signed the addendum to professional services agreement for Public Information and Communications Consultant on the Columbia Basin Ground Water Management Area project. q 9 � A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 98 -187 - CC, Ordinance Number 98 -187 -CC repealing Grant County's "Special Excise Tax" Resolution Number 85 -29 -CC, and imposing a County wide special lodging excise tax for purposes of financing Tourism promotion, adding Chapter 3.68 to the Grant County Code and other matters properly relating thereto be passed. The motion carried. 1`70 The Commissioners received the Statutory Warranty Deed from Norman Staat and Darlyne Staat for the property purchased for use as various County offices. i ?v vo The Commissioners received a request from the Grant County Fairgrounds to be incorporated into the County's animal control area. ilq,, i A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 98 -188 -CC relating to the establishment of a new fund/department to be named Domestic Violence Services Fund #128, Department #170 be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until December 1, 1998 As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until November 30,1998.
