HomeMy WebLinkAboutCommissioners Proceedings - Commissioners - 20 (265)COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of October 12,1998 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. on October 12,1998 by Chairman LeRoy Allison. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. 1, ­ -- The Commissioners agreed to commit the amount of $1,000 to the Lake Roosevelt Forum in 1998. . The Commissioners signed a Request for Transfer of Funds in the Grant County Prosecutor's Office in the amount of $2,000. , • / The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Carolyn Jones - Fair to a Deputy Prosecutor IV, effective November 1, 1998. Chairman Allison was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation of Vera Bunakova of the District Court Department, effective October 1,1998. The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Sheriff Wiester and Mike Shay to attend the Western States Sheriffs Conference. / A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 98 -159 -CC setting a Public Hearing for October 26,1998 at 1:30 p.m. regarding the request by the Noxious Weed Board for an increase in assessments be passed. The motion carried. I", The Commissioners received the Final Decision and Order from the State Growth Management Hearings Board regarding Ordinance 98 -29 -CC. ,- / Chairman Allison was authorized to sign the Exemption from Shoreline Management Act Substantial Development Permit Requirements for the Washington State Department of Transportation. i - i..'/ s The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Anastasiya DeLeon of the District Court Office to Deputy Clerk II. The Commissioners signed an Inter -Governmental Agreement between Grant County and Benton County regarding Correctional Facility Use. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until October l 3,1998. October 13,1998 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding 10:00 a.m. Bid opening (Bridge Number 120, '18' NE), 10:30 a.m. Bid opening (Fuel tank replacements), Rd. 'S' improvement (Arlo Leishman), and Randolph Road Access Easement (Daystar Daycare). The Commissioners signed an Easement to Daystar Christian Academy which allows a perpetual ingress and egress easement over and across a strip of land thirty feet wide, being 15' feet on either side of the following described centerline, located in the Southeast of the Northwest of Section 32, Township 20 North, Range 28 East W.M. The Commissioners held a bid opening regarding Bridge #120 '18' NE Road. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Faucher that the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. 1, j The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Undersheriff Michael Shay and Chief Deputy Bryan Pratt to travel to Colorado for an extradition. --The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer of Funds by the Building/Fire Marshal Department in the amount of $1,000. The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer of Funds in the Building/Fire Marshal Department in the amount of $1,400. i. , ),: `i 1The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #9-1 through #9-190 in the total amount of $1,691,829.20. '- As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 10/12/98 in the total amount of $280,296.56. ,,, The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public Works Director and awarded the bid for Bridge #120, '18' NE Road to Tommer Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $181,708.38.
