Commissioner Snead was in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Allison was out of town. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. ' 4 I )-�l The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant County PARC for Wendy Hanover and Sydney Platt to travel out of state to attend the Northwest Regional Mentor Training. The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Ninette L. Robare of the District Court Office at $6.50 per hour effective August 9, 2000. • The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office for out of state travel for Deb Shay to attend a Warrants/Transport conference in Estes Park, Colorado. r', ,t', ), ) The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office for the purchase of portable radios from the Law and Justice fund. t`A 1,',j� A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2000 -92 -CC regarding transfer of sick leave to an employee in the Sheriff's Office who is combating a serious illness be passed. The motion carried. •,� v The Commissioners received a Summons and Complaint from Phillip M. Hintz, et ux, et al. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. 14 X_�o The Commissioners received a Summons and Complaint from Dennis Williams. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until August 15, 2000. August 15, 2000 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding 10:00 a.m. Bid Opening (Bridge No. 156, Fiess Rd.), 10:30 a.m. Hearing (Road Establishment, Quailway), 11:00 a.m. Hearing (Surplus Property), Bid Authorization -Adams & Beverly Burke Overlays, Radio System, Personnel. (/h > I The Commissioners held a bid opening on Bridge No. 156, Fiess Road. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison to refer the bids to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. ///'.V' -.The Commissioners held a public hearing regarding the intent to establish a certain road as part of the County Road system. After review of the provided information a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison to establish Quail Way North West. The motion carried. 1,4 l y 3 3 The Commissioners held a public hearing regarding the matter of County surplus equipment sale. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution 2000 -93 -CC granting the sale be passed. The motion carried. ,Y5/A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -94 -CC in the matter of declaring surplus equipment be passed. The motion carried. �-a The Commissioners signed the Authorization to call for bids on Adams Road and Beverly -Burke Road overlays. Bid opening to be held August 29, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. /�//��3LA motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -95 -CC in the matter of establishing Quail Way NW Road be passed. The motion carried. A I x37The Commissioners upheld the recommendation of the Public Works Director and awarded the bid for Bridge #156, Fiess Road to A & R Construction, Inc. yI�')9 Chairman Moore was authorized to sign the paper work for year two of the Community Mobilization against Substance Abuse funding. / la' ;y As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 8/14/2000 in the total amount of $1,639,544.01.
