All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. 1 � 1,'1() The Commissioners approved out of State travel for Sam Lorenz, from Grant County Department of Emergency Management to travel to Oregon for a tour of the Umatilla Chemical Agent Disposal Facility. The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant County Information Services Department for Frank Martinez to attend a 4 -day class at Green River Community College on Fiber Optic Cabling. Ih e 1,�,The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Energy for emergency preparedness. t,j 1G,q � The Commissioners approved the request by the Emergency Management Department to pay the amount of $600 to Quincy Flying Service for the fire suppression drops in the month of August, 1999. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until June 13, 2000. June 13, 2000 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Vehicle Purchase Request -Soap Lake, Purchase Request -Fencing -Annual Bridge Report, Six Year Program, Sign Request -Gorge, Personnel. N1 r `-/ F The Commissioners were notified that Everett Smith of the Public Works Department would be retiring the 31'` of July, 2000. The Commissioners received the year 2000 Bridge Report from the Public Works Director. 11//� lb The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #5-1 through 45-208 in the total amount of $1,262,711.28. 1 y 7 As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 6/12/2000 in the total amount of $373,478.73. The Commissioners received a Note for Motion Docket from Gary Dominguez. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. cijh,gj A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -58 -CC stating that Rick Lewellyn is no longer designated to provide the services of a Designated Mental Health Professional be passed. The motion carried. i:,,ac` The Commissioners approved a request by the Grant County Juvenile Court and Youth Services Department for the funding of an Early Intervention Counselor for the purpose of preventing truancies from occurring. (4I i F, ,1 The Commissioners approved the request for transfer of funds in the Grant County Juvenile Court and Youth Services Department in the amount of $22,880.00.
