All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. ) ki 1� , The Commissioners accepted the resignation of Deanna Clarkson who was working on the GWMA project. 411 1 / The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Sue Flaherty of the Treasurers Office to 100 percent effective April 1, 2000. l^! I,1,1WThe Commissioners approved the salary increase of Carol McDanel of the Assessors Office to $8.00 per hour effective April 1, 2000. (i `t'1 3 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Colleen Irwin of the Cooperative Extension Office to $9.00 per hour beginning in April. i') ko The Commissioners approved the salary increase of the following employees in the Maintenance Department: Lron Byrd to $9.00 per hour and Larry Howall to $8.00 per hour. 1<} ll K I The Commissioners notified the Accounting Department of salary increases for the year 2000 for some personnel. I I { The Commissioners notified all departments of the decision to increase the pay scale for hourly employees up to the amount of $9.00 per hour. I ,/k � The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Kristi Olsen of the Planning Department to 80 percent of base pay for a Planner. H,0 ,0 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Betty Catlow of the Clerk's Office to $7.00 per hour. The Commissioners received the Notice of Separation of Cheryl Gantenbein of the District Court Office effective April 14, 2000. f ^fid % The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office for the purchase of one Prisoner Restraint Chair in the amount of $1,160, from Law and Justice Funds. �1 r ( The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Sheriff Wiester to attend a meeting in Nevada. 141 (q (1 ( The Commissioners approved the request by the District Court Office to add Benjamin Abraham Kozlov to the District Court payroll, as a Russian Interpreter at $20.00 per hour, on an as needed basis. The motion carried. 1.� I rjaj� Chairman Moore was authorized to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Department of Energy in regard to the emergency planning Grant County conducts with DOE. PG{1-iq4 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Frances Meunch of the Treasurers Office to $9.00 per hour, effective April 1, 2000. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until April 18, 2000. April 18, 2000 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Moore and Commissioner Snead in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Allison was out of the office on County business. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Asphalt -1999 ($0.70/Gal); 2000 ($1.09/Gal.), Cost -Share -1999 ($10,350/Mile); 2000 ($14,2000/Mile), Sealcoat-1999 (5,340/Mile); 2000 ($7,027/Mile), Groundwater Wells, 10:45 Bid Opening, Hauling. 1 y ( ZnoA bid opening was held regarding asphalt hauling services, and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Chairman Moore to refer the bids to the Public Works Director for his review and recommendation, The motion carried. ( As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 4/17/2000 in the total amount of $364,942.32. 1 kA("?«),The Commissioners approved the request by the Civil Service Commission to increase the salary of Ruth Grigg to $9.00 per hour effective April 1, 2000. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sage -N -Sun Festival Committee for the use of the Courthouse lawn and parking lots for the festival dates of June 9, 10 and 11.
