All of the Commissioners were in attendance. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. �sz3 The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office to purchase three Maratrac radios and two portable radios . j yS�The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Shareen E. Laughlin of the Juvenile Probation Department at $1,757.60 per month effective March 1, 2001. -1 Commissioners Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer of Funds in the District Court Office in the amount of $2,294. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 3/19/01 in the total amount of $1,357,789.30. �. . 'Chairman Allison was authorized to sign the agreement with Perkins Coie. + > Chairman Allison was authorized to sign approval of the Liquor License of Jake's Meats. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued to March 20, 2001. March 20, 2001 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding 10:00 a.m. bid opening, Bid Authorization -Water Pump, Solid Waste Roll- Off/Trailer Quotes -Recommendation, Snow Wing -Recommendation, 10:30 a.m.-bid Opening, Herbicide Materials for Roadside Application, 10:45 a.m. Bid Opening, Surplus Equipment Sale -Screening Plants, Larson Community Sidewalks -CRP Resolution, Town of Wilbur -Request to purchase cold mix, 11:15 a.m. Jim Sauter -El Oro feed lot, Garbage pickup scheduled w/corrections, 11:00 a.m. Franchise Hearing. jy �{�� , A motion was made by Tim Snead, seconded by Deborah Moore that Resolution Number 2001 -42 -CC designating a licensed professional civil engineer during an interim period be passed. The motion carried. /y.; -=%n A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2001 -43 -CC in the matter of initiating County Road Project designated as CRP No. 01-20 be passed. The motion carried. 14,)- ��/A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2001 -44 -CC in the matter of closing a certain County Road be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners held a bid opening on Road I 1 SW. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore to refer the bids to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. ; ;y3 The Commissioners held a bid opening for the year 2001 herbicide materials. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore to refer the bids to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The Commissioners held a bid opening for the sale of surplus screening plants. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore to accept the bid from Cegnar in the amount of $2,516. Tile motion carried. .,The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the application for Franchise of Luis Farias regarding an existing well and fence. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore to exclude the fence and approve the franchise on the existing well. The Commissioners notified they were being awarded the conte $337,177.75. Central Washington Asphalt,Inc. that ict on 11 SW Road in the amount of 1y 2�j,YThe Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public Works Interim Director and awarded the Solid Waste Roll-Off/Tractor Bid to Busby International,Inc. in the amount of $37,934.82. / .),Y6`irhe Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Interim Public Works Director and awarded the bid for a Rylind RW12M Snow Wing to Western Power in the amount of $10,691.44 /.�; V'('Fhe Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for one Water Pump with trailer. Bid opening to be held April 3, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2001 -45 -CC recognizing the importance of agriculture in our area be passed. The motion carried. motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2001 -46 -CC allowing participation by the Grant County Sheriff's Reserves in the State Pension Plan, and other matters properly relating thereto be passed. The motion carried. 75 The Commissioners appointed Tim Snead and Deborah Moore to serve as members of the Grant county Reserve Officer Board of Trustees as per the requirements of Resolution Number 2001 -46 -CC. z,,ki ),f The Commissioners approved the request by Grant Mental Healthcare to reimburse an employee for relocation assistance. /4,1's 7— A motion wasmade by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2001 -47 -CC relating to the transfer of funds within the 2001 budget of the Economic Enhancement Fund #113, Department #155 in the amount of $180,000 be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until March 26, 2001.
