Week of January 29, 2001
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. on January 29, 2001 by Chairman LeRoy C. Allison. Commissioner
Moore was in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Snead
was out of the office due to illness.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Cathy LaGrave of
the Sheriff's Office to $2,285 per month.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Carol Mende of
the Sheriff s Office at $1,723.20 per month, effective January 10, 2001.
U,� �O,/ The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Naomi "Sue"
Ochocinski of the Sheriffs Office at $1,734.40 per month effective January
29, 2001.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Donna Jirak of the
Sheriff's Office at $1,723.20 per month effective January 22,200 1.
The Commissioners approved the request by New Hope Domestic
Violence and Sexual Assault Services for a budget increase of $4,700.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Okanogan County
Resolution in the matter of the appointment of a Trustee to the North Central
Regional Library.
s O'L-S` The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Lois Schutt of the
Sheriff's Office at $1,723.20 per month effective January 27, 2001.
MS The Commissioners approved the Transfer of Funds by the Grant
County Fairgrounds in the amount of $1,744.31 from Capital Outlay.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Jennifer L. Juarez
of Grant County District Court at $6.72 per hour effective January 22, 2001.
/F! The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Garrett L. Graffe
of Grant County District Court at $6.72 per hour effective January 22, 2001.
, -The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Lee Ann D. Park
of Grant County District Court at $6.72 per hour effective January 22, 2001.
The Commissioners received the recorded Quit Claim Deed on the
Cascade Valley Water District property.
The Commissioners received the Certificate of Insurance from
Starplex Corporation, DBA Crowd Management Service, Progard Security.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Agreement for
Comprehensive Planning Support Services from Dennis Cearns.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until January 30, 2001.
January 30, 2001
The Session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Allison and
Commissioner Moore in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Bid Recommendation -Cars and Pickups, Solid Waste-SWAC Members,
Free Dump Days.
._-,A_ The Commissioners approved the recommendation by the Public
Works Director and awarded the bids for autos, pickups, and Heavy Truck
Chassis.
�» Chairman Allison was authorized to sign approval of the amended
Liquor License application of Desert Aire Golf Course.
�.� ;1 a The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the
month of January in the total amount $282,983.70.
/�/y As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 1/30/01 in the
total amount of $355,450.58.
"'-- 3,L The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher
Approval # 1- I through 4 1 -2 in the total amount of $21,546.53.
/Y10)')/A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that the Order Granting Franchise to El Oro Cattle
Company be passed. The motion carried.
/�'.'-i�AThe Commissioners received a signed 2001 Agreement with House of
Blues Concerts, Inc. for Concert Management and Development.
/-,� zA motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2001 -13 -CC regarding
donation of sick leave to an employee in the Public Works Department be
passed. The motion carried.
/.!,�A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner
Moore, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2001-
14 -CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Mental
Health Fund #408, Department 4150 in the amount of $145,000 be passed.
The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until February 5, 2001.
