Allison. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. q mac` The Commissioners approved the request by Grant Mental Healthcare for an amendment to the Directions of Community Living budget, based on a legislatively approved vendor rate increase of 2.1 percent. . 1 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Betty Harsh of the Sheriff's Office to $2,823.03. 14 1 �K The Commissioners denied the request by the Sheriff's Office to establish Corrections Sgt. Bill Nelson's starting date as January 1, 1982 as he was working in a full time capacity from that time. The Commissioners received a Claim from Robert James Stewart for John E. Stewart. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. r,I ; r, The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Katherine N. Maw of the District Court Office to $1,925 per month. )9;,, As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 8/6/2001 in the total amount of $675,762.49. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriffs Office for a salary increase to $1,938.60 per month for Carol Mende. i7;- , The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Rick J. Bomar of the District Court Office at $3,069 per month. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for August 28, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. regarding the requested Plat alteration of Mattawa Acres No. 2, Replat No. 5, requested by Ignacio and Elena Navarrete. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for August 28, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. regarding a re -plat of lots 1 1 and 12 of Carroll Acres and a Portion of the SW '/4, SW ''/4, SE 114, of Section 34, Township 15 North, Range 23 East W.M. requested by Jerry and Pamalia Ray. /,/),)7,- The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for September 4, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. regarding the Preliminary Plat Application from Kurt and Jennifer Colley for Skyview Acres Replat No. 1, an eight -lot subdivision on approximately 40 acres in the Rural Residential -One zone. '-':''A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2001- 128 -CC approving a Unified Development Code amendment requested by Jeff and Dawna Smith regarding extended family living as a discretionary use in the Urban Residential -3 Zone of Grant County be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until August 7, 2001. August 7, 2001 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m, with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding a 10:30 a.m.-Bid Opening/Patton Blvd., Turnback Agreements RB2-0064, KULE Radio Interference Issue, Fairgrounds -Auction, Solid Waste Issues- Fencing-Parametrix, Personnel. �7-1•, A bid opening was held regarding the Patton Boulevard overlay. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Moore that the bids be referred to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. .< ; / ; The Commissioners signed a County Turnback Agreement with the State Department of Transportation on A S.E. MP 25.32 RT. 1 , .) 7%v The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Esmeralda L. Hernandez of the District Court Office at $1,477.60 per month. ` a/i Chairman Allison was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation of Debra Gonzalez of District Court. y% The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public Works Director and awarded the bid on the Patton Boulevard project to Basin Paving in the amount of $250,264.40. 1-1777 The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for September 4, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. regarding the requested amendment to the Grant County Unified Development Code, Chapter 23.04, Zoning Districts, Table 5 Allowable Land Uses for Rural Activity Center Zoning Districts, requested by Vincent and Carol Bryan. /'%•;�/lb A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2001 -129 -CC in the matter of conducting a classification and compensation study for certain departments and employees and authorizing the Human Resources Director to sign the Consulting Agreement be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until August 13, 2001.
