All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the renewal of the Employee Assistance Program with Magellan Behavioral Health. ff �t>> The Commissioners approved the request by Delores Hogue, a Chemical Dependency Counselor at Grant County PARC to take leave without pay in November to travel to Australia. y,.:,, ,> The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Tammera J. Roloff of the Juvenile Department to $2,339 per month. > Commissioners Snead was authorized to sign the Covenant Not To Sue executed by Manuel De Jesus Pleitez and Maria J. Pleitez. 9 Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Daniel W. Schmidt of the Juvenile Department. 4 , aG-/-,The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Lyliane J. Sheetz of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office at 100% of a Deputy Prosecutor 1. l(4 Q4oI The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Teresa J. Chen of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office at 100% of a Deputy Prosecutor I. fqq--(,�, The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Contract with James W. Potts. motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2002 -148 -CC setting a public hearing for October 28, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Law Library Fund #I 10, Department #152 in the amount of $8,700 be passed. The motion carried. //14 3 r y The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Doris Long of the Assessors Office to $1,902.60 per month. y Q 2,l -r;; The Commissioners approved the structural changes and requested new position in the Auditors Office called Licensing and Recording Lead. 1 '44 )k- As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 10/02/02 in the total amount of $258,130.87. 4." 36,7 As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 10/07/02 in the total amount of $599,389.90. (yy The Commissioners signed approval of the Public Works Claims Fund Vouchers #10-1 through #10-131 in the total amount of $1,839,223.26. I"+4 The Commissioners received a signed copy of Contract #02-64002- 016 with the Office of Community Development regarding the Sentinel Gap Water System. 144 >-/�' A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2002- 149 -CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Current Expense Fund #001, Auditors Office Department #104 in the total amount of $18,500 be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued to October 8, 2002. October 8, 2002 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance. / y q "�7 / The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Contract to Provide Instructional Services through Big Bend Community College. The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Vendor Agreement with Columbia Basin Parent to Parent and Grant County Developmental Disabilities and Moses Lake Community Health. Iq,i X73 The Commissioners received a Claim against Grant County from Lyle Barger and Ila M. Barger. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. i,+ y � The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Bid Authorization -Landfill Scale, Execution of Contracts -U -SE RR Crossing Reconstruction, Review of Quit Claim Turnback Deeds-WSDOT, Accidents So. of 1-90, and 5 -NW Speed and Classification Study. 14`q.S71- The Commissioners signed a contract with Central Washington Asphalt,Inc. regarding the U SE Rd./Railroad Crossing Reconstruction. Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for a Landfill Scale. Bid opening date to be October 22, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until October 14, 2002.
