Week of February 11, 2002
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office to
purchase two typewriters in the amount of $1,160 from Law and Justice
funds.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office to
purchase security locks for the jail from Law and Justice funds in the amount
of $4,685.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Janet Millard of
the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to 100% of secretary I, effective February
1, 2002.
The Commissioners held a Public Meeting regarding the 2002
Comprehensive Plan amendments. A motion was made by Commissioner
Moore, seconded by Commissioner Allison to move forward with the
process on the amendments eliminating #43 and #46 due to lack of
information and incomplete applications. The motion carried.
�i/The Commissioners approved the salary increase to $2,275.20 of
Dianne Atkinson as the Accredited Appraiser/Data Entry Supervisor in the
Assessors Office.
i y3'�' The Commissioners approved the request for Transfer of Funds in the
Juvenile Department # 117, Operating Fund #001 in the amount of $836.
Chairman Snead was authorized to sign approval of the Liquor
License Application of Ephrata Raceway Park.
of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 2/11/02 in the
total amount of $817,587.55.

Approval #2-1 through #1-206 in the total amount of $632,521.51.
The Commissioners signed the Contract with Wendle Motors, Inc. for
Equipment Contract 2002-01.

for Equipment Contract 2002-02.

Equipment for Equipment Contract 2002-02.

The Commissioners signed the Contract with Powerscreen of
Washington, Inc. for the Equipment Contract 2002-05.
The Commissioners signed the Contract with Clyde/West, Inc. of
Spokane for the Equipment Contract 2002-05.

Equipment for the Equipment Contract 2002-05.
The Commissioners signed the Contract with Rowand Machinery
Company for the Equipment Contract 2002-05.
The Commissioners signed a Contract with North Central
Construction, Inc. for Bridge #158, and Bridge 4390 in the amount of
$531,397.00.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until February 12, 2002.
February 12, 2002
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
10:30 a.m.-Bid Opening -2002 Fuel Purchases, Bid Authorization -Ephrata
Landfill Irrigation System, Bid Authorization -Radios, Impact & Mitigation
Fee Agreement -Lisa R. Hanson, Execution of Contracts -Bridge # 158, 12 -NE
& Bridge 4390, 3 -NW, Execution of Contracts -Equipment, U -SE & 2.8 -SE.
rlG�//SThe Commissioners held a bid opening for 2002 Fuel Purchases. A
motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Moore to refer the bids to Public Works for their review and
recommendation. The motion carried.
The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for the Ephrata
Landfill Irrigation System. Bid opening to be held February 26, 2002 at
10:40 a.m.
The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on
Equipment Contract 2002-06. Bid opening to be held February 26, 2002 at
10:50 a.m.
/�3-5�� The Commissioners signed the impact & Mitigation Fee Agreement
with Lisa R. Hanson.
3e A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Moore that Ordinance Number 2002 -30 -CC relating to the
adoption of official controls for the Desert Aire Rural Village as identified in
the Grant County Unified Development Code, phasing out residential
recreational vehicle uses which have historically been sited in the Desert
Aire Rural Village be passed. The motion carried.
/q3&�T'Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the Certification of Road
Fund Expenditures for Traffic Law Enforcement.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until February 19, 2002.
