Commissioner Allison was in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Moore was out of the office for the week. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. /.y The Commissioners appointed Ron Tebow and Gary Sieg to positions on the Grant County Noxious Weed Control Board. I.,/.-,, ,,) The Commissioners appointed Vivian Peterson to a position on the Grant County Housing Authority. a r: The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the request by Thomas Dobbin and Lois Knutson for a replat of lots 140 and 141 in Desert Aire #2 in order to consolidate both lots into one. The subject parcels are located in a portion of Section 27, Township 14 N., Range 23 E., Willamette Meridian, in Grant County. After consideration of the request a motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2002 -14 -CC approving the requested plat alteration be passed. The motion carried. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 1/28/02 in the total amount of $52,460.14. The Commissioners signed an Airport Agreement between the Grant County Sheriff's Office, and Grant County International Airport to provide a Deputy Sheriff on duty at the Airport between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Rowdy G. Yates of the Juvenile Probation Department to $1,052.55. q,;" �, I A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2002 -15 -CC relating to the transfer of funds in the 2002 budget of the Law and Justice Fund #121, Department #163 in the amount of $1,810 be passed. The motion carried. iy3s� a A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2002 -16 -CC setting Grant County levies for the 2002 taxes be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until January 29, 2002. January 29, 2002 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Snead and Commissioner Allison in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding 10:30 a.m. bid opening, Bridge #158, 12 -NE and Bridge 9390, #-NW, 10:40 a.m. Bid Opening: Automobiles & Pickups, 10:50 a.m.-Bid Opening: Equipment Trailers, 11:00 a.m.-Bid Opening: Maintenance Equipment, 11: 10 a.m.-Bid Opening: Sealcoating Equipment, 11:20 a.m.-Bid Opening: Construction Equipment, 11:30 A.M.-Proposal Opening:HHW Collection Events, Notice to Call for Bid -Royal City Shop, Local Agency Agreement - Q -SE Railroad Signalization, Local Agency Agreement Supplement - Beverly -Burke Road, Requests for Reimbursable Work -City of Royal (chip seal), City of Royal (20 cu.yds.cold patch),City of Royal (60 cu.yds.cold patch, Haul Road Agreement -DOT, Intersection of 12 -SW and G -S W near Royal City, BBCC Campus Parkway. The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on the Public Works Shop Facility, Royal Slope Area. Bid opening date to be February 26, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. YThe Commissioners received notification from the State Transportation Improvement Board that the Chanute St/32nd Avenue/Arnold Dr., Patton Boulevard to Randolph Road projects were approved for funding. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #1-1 in the total amount of $22,432.46. The Commissioners signed approval of the Request for Reimbursable Work from the City of Royal City for the purchase of 20 cu.yds. of cold patch. t,3a67 The Commissioners signed approval of the Request for Reimbursable Work from the City of Royal City to apply a chip -seal on Daisy St. NW & NE, from Royal Ave., NW to Cedar St. NE, and Widmer St. NE, from Ahlers Ave. N. to Poarch Ave. NE. "-`/ - The Commissioners signed approval of the Request for Reimbursable Work from the City of Royal City for the purchase of 60 cu. Yds. Of cold - patch material. �i The Commissioners held a bid opening for Bridge #158, 12 -NE & Bridge #390, #3 -NW. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that the bids be referred to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that the bids be referred to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. 7v The Commissioners held a bid opening for Construction Equipment. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that the bids be referred to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. The Commissioners held a proposal opening on Household Hazardous Waste collection events. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead to refer the proposals to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. i 3, A The Commissioners signed a Proclamation declaring February 12, 2002 as Arts Day in Grant County. '/Vd 1477The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of January in the amount of $294,713.30. i�37b The Commissioners upheld the recommendation of the Public Works Director and awarded the contract for Bridge #158, 12 -NE; CRP 00-10, and Bridge #390, 3 -NW; CRP 01-24 to North Central Construction, Inc. in the amount of $531,397. i�/o,45�71 A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2002 -17 -CC regarding the Grant County Hearing Examiner Ordinance be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed the Marketing/Development Contract with Burke Marketing & Promotion.
